We're excited to know if Armored Core 6 will have co-op multiplayer. Armored Core has never had a traditional multiplayer system that allows you to take part in campaigns together. However, with all of From Software's experience developing excellent co-op experiences in games like Elden Ring, that could well change.
There are two kinds of multiplayer that we can expect to see in Armored Core 6. We will be discussing both kinds, and what capacity they will be implemented in. Fans of the series might already be acquainted with the old multiplayer systems, but the Armored Core 6 co-op is shaping up to be quite different.

Will Armored Core 6 have co-op multiplayer?
Unfortunately, Armored Core 6 will not have any form of co-op multiplayer when it comes to the main campaign. You cannot challenge missions and bosses alongside your friends or by inviting other players. This is a bit disappointing, but it allows the missions to be balanced and fine-tuned in a way that ensures an excellent single-player experience.
You will, however, get various allies and friendly units throughout missions and even during some boss fights in Armored Core 6. While this isn't a full-fledged co-op system, it does help add to the scale of the narrative and make you feel like you're a part of the war on Rubicon.
Will Armored Core 6 have PvP multiplayer?
Yes, Armored Core 6 will feature a dedicated PvP game mode that can host up to six players in total. This will be split into two different game modes, which will be:
- 1v1 Duel
- 3v3 Battle
These PvP modes will make up the bulk of Armored Core 6's multiplayer, where you can look forward to some thrilling duels against other players. With the level of build diversity Armored Core 6 provides, PvP is sure to be a delight to play around with.
From Software has its work cut out when it comes to balancing all the weapons. The new lock-on mechanics also mean that you're more reliant on timing rather than outmanoeuvring your enemies. Regardless, Armored Core 6 multiplayer PvP will definitely be an experience you don't want to miss out on.
