Wondering what those Assassin's Creed Mirage contracts are all about? Assassin’s Creed Mirage will debut later this year, and with the trailers showing stealth and parkour similar to older Assassin’s Creed games, the upcoming title might prove to be a breath of fresh air compared to recent entries.
Ubisoft Forward highlighted some of the gameplay mechanics that we can expect and one of the things that stood out was contracts. In addition to experiencing the main story, Assassin’s Creed Mirage contracts will allow you to take out targets and become the best assassin the world has ever seen.
How Assassin's Creed Mirage contracts work
Throughout the campaign, you follow in the footsteps of Basim and take out powerful foes for the Brotherhood. But there is more to Basim’s life than being a former street rat. He wants to be part of the Brotherhood and prove his worth, and you can take on contracts and fulfil objectives to earn special rewards, XP, and more.
You engage with the contracts system at any of Brotherhood hideouts and take on new contracts. Once you have a contract in your quest log, you'll have to take on assassination, theft, or rescue missions. These are the three types of contracts we know of so far, but there may be more revealed down the line.
Assassin's Creed Mirage contracts rewards
There are additional objectives that will be available with each contract. You may be asked to take no damage or not even be detected. These optional objectives serve as an added layer of challenge and are not mandatory. However, completing the Assassin's Creed Mirage contracts with the additional requirements can not only be a lot more fun, but you also get extra rewards to boot.
With the game going back to its roots, Ubisoft is reintroducing the assassination animations that we have seen in older titles. So getting to see the fancy animations is incentive enough to take on the assassination contracts.

Contracts will not only allow you to earn experience and rewards, but serve up more story about the Brotherhood, Basim, and the city of Baghdad. Ubisoft is known to add tons of historically accurate elements to the game, and taking on contracts should allow you to learn more about the city.
