Considering how Avatar: Frontiers of Pandora is set in director James Cameron's movie world, you know you’ll likely be fighting against the RDA to save the Na’vi homeland. But there are many mechanics to learn in Ubisoft's newest title, and one such aspect is clan favour, something that can be quite confusing if you skip over its introduction.
With this guide, we’ll delve into how clan favour currency works so that you can get up to speed on how you can utilise this function within the game.
Other game mechanics such as how to heal, how to equip armour, and how to upgrade weapons, can also be somewhat confusing so check out our other articles for a bit of extra help.
Avatar: Frontiers of Pandora clan favour explained
As you progress in Avatar: Frontiers of Pandora, you’ll be introduced to other Na’vi who are not from your specific clan. But finding these blue-skinned NPCs opens up a bunch of new gear that you would otherwise completely miss out on.
However, acquiring this gear requires something called clan favour, which acts as the main currency used in the game. There are a few different ways to get this clan favour and upgrade your gear, so we'll talk you through how it works.
The first way of getting some clan favour is by completing quests for the clan you want to acquire favour for. These quests can be picked up by speaking to the various characters within the hub of the clan so go around and talk to as many as possible.
The second way of securing some clan favour is taking down RDA facilities around the region. This is probably the most dangerous of the methods as you are actively seeking out trouble in order to gain favour with the clans. So, make sure you’re stocked up on ammo and arrows to ensure success.
The third, and final way, of earning clan favour is by contributing items to community baskets in clan homes and Na’vi camps. A plethora of items can be contributed, with some being more potent than others, and some even being ‘special requests’ or required for completing attached quests. Once you do contribute whatever surplus items you have, you’ll see your clan favour increase.
Once you acquire a bunch of clan favour, you can spend this with the characters in the destinations to get a variety of items including armour, weapons, mods, and more. This is a great way to add some new additions to your stores and improve your gear without having to spend anything.
Overall, earning some clan favour currency is something that you should definitely look into doing as you will net yourself some exclusive items and upgrades that you would otherwise miss. Yes, it requires a bit of extra work but it is more than worth it in the long run.
