What is Mage Hand in Baldur's Gate 3?
Similarly to the tabletop RPG Dungeons and Dragons, Mage Hand is a cantrip spell. It's from the Conjuration school of magic and it takes an action to use, and it also has a cast range of 18 metres. But it does require concentration to keep going, so typically this is going to be utilised outside of combat.
Who can use Mage Hand?
Like other conjuration spells, it is typically learned by a select few classes. So, here are the classes that can learn this handy cantrip.
- Bard (Colleges of Lore and Valour)
- Sorcerer
- Warlock
- Wizard
- Eldritch Knight
How to use the helping hand
Firstly, as far as actually using Mage Hand, it's quite easy to do. You simply need to cast the spell from your hot bar. Then once the ghostly hand is conjured, you can have it do a number of different things. It can interact with the environment and can move light and medium objects. It can also use the shove and throw actions.
