Valuable weapons and armour can be found around almost every corner in Baldur's Gate 3. You can barely walk two feet before stumbling across a magic amulet that lets you speak to the dead, or a mace holding the blood of a literal god. Nonetheless, the adamantine armour and weapons made from mithril ore are some of the most powerful early game gear you can get for your party.
Before you can make the adamantine gear, you'll need to find and mine some mithril ore. This guide will run you through how to find and mine the mithril ore, alongside a quick walkthrough to the Adamantine Forge.

How do you mine mithril ore in Baldur's Gate 3?
Mining mithril ore veins will give the player adamantine ore, which they can use to make powerful weapons and armour with. Acquiring some adamantine gear will give you a huge advantage over enemies you encounter late in Act 1 and into Act 2.
You'll be able to mine mithril at the Grymforge location, which you can get to from the Underdark. There are two adamantine ore that you can collect here, and both can be found near to the Adamantine Forge itself.
How do I use the mithril ore?
You can use your newly acquired adamantine ore to make adamantine weapons or armour for your party. To craft the gear, you'll need both the adamantine ore and the mould of the armour or weapon that you want to make. For more information, check out our guide on how to use the Adamantine Forge.
