Playing on PC has its big perks and one of those is adding mods to make gameplay livelier. Mods make gameplay more exciting and offers freedom that the default version does not have. Baldur's Gate 3 mods as a whole is a key component for the PC version of the game since it landed in early access.
During the early days, Baldur's Gate 3 had only a few mods, but as time went by, a lot were created since Early Access only offered content with missing parts. When the full game launched, this did not stop the fans from creating more mods for the game. It only inspired them to create wackier and fun ones to use.

The best mods in Baldur's Gate 3
A majority of the top community mods so far in Baldur's Gate 3 have been aimed at delivering content that has yet to become available in the early access build of the game. However, with the full PC release of the game, we will be omitting all of those mods since they will soon become outdated.
Instead, we will focus on mods that improve certain areas of the game, add extra content, or make the user experience more enjoyable.
Baldur's Gate 3 Mod Fixer
The first and foremost important mod to install right now for Baldur's Gate 3 is the Baldur's Gate 3 Mod Fixer. As per the note added by the Nexus Mods staff, "This mod is now the de-facto Mod Fixer for Baldur's Gate 3 and works with the Full Release."

This mod will force the story to recompile, which then allows the other pak mods to work with the full release version of the game. You will only need to load this mod together with the others to make the other mods work. Just drop this .pak file into the mods folder and it will work instantly.
Tav’s Hair Salon
Speaking of character customisation, this next mod will only add to your character creation experience. Tav's Hair Salon once again overhauls the character creator and gives players access to a wide variety of hair options.
The main draw of this mod is that it offers brand-new hairstyles that you won't find elsewhere in Baldur's Gate 3. It can be quite annoying to see a random NPC share your same hairstyle, so this mod will ensure that your character is stylish their its own right. As of right now, the mod only has hairstyles for certain classes, so check its page on Nexus Mods to see if your favourite class is supported.
Currently, Tav's Hair Salon mod still stands as one of the most important mods to use in the game via Nexus Mods standing at the top 3.
Legendary Items
Who doesn't love some new legendary items? This mod does exactly what you think it does; it adds 20 legendary items to Baldur's Gate 3 that are not accessible elsewhere in the world.
You can obtain all 20 of the items immediately using a new spell called 'Dark Pact.' Upon using the spell, your inventory, or your target's inventory, will become full of bags that contain the items. Basically, this mod is for players who are seeking some variation in terms of their weapons and armour choices in Baldur's Gate 3.
LVLUp
This next mod will take your character's progression to the next level, literally. LVLUp is a mod that increases the level of basic classes in Baldur's Gate 3 to a massive 20. In the full build of the game, the level cap will be set at 12, which is much higher than the cap of level 5 that was active during the early access build.
The LVLUp mod abides by the 5e ruleset, and adds the appropriate spells for all of the extra levels. It's worth noting that the mod's creator stresses that players only install this mod for a new playthrough, as installing it after a save has been created can cause some issues with its functionality.
ImprovedUI
We're going to continue with a simple, yet extremely helpful mod. ImprovedUI does exactly what it says it will do, which is to make the overall user interface in Baldur's Gate 3 more user-friendly.
It aims to do this by adding several features to the UI. This includes adding a picture mode button on a few different screens, removing any unwanted text, changing the layout of the character creator, and more. While these changes aren't massive by any means, they are certainly noticeable to veterans of the game.
Another major mod to install for Baldur's Gate 3 and an essential one too based from its ranking which is top 2.
5e Spells
If you're a veteran of Dungeons and Dragons 5th edition or are simply looking for more spells to mess around with, then this mod may be for you. By installing this mod, your Baldur's Gate 3 character will be able to learn a number of spells that aren't present in the game.
Additional spells can be learned from levels 1 to 6. Even more spells used to be available upon hitting levels 7 through 9, but they will be added back into the mod at a later time.
Still part of the top 5 mods at Nexus Mods, it is near impossible to part with this mod since it helps a lot when installed. Sitting at top 4 right now.
Carry Extra Weight
A straightforward mod as its name does exactly what you think - allow you to carry extra weight. Inventory management usually ends up becoming tedious and may take out of a game, making this one of the more popular BG3 mods.
While using this the Carry Extra Weight mod, your inventory will expand to over 800 slots. This is a huge improvement from the 85 slots you'll have by default.
UnlockLevelCurve - Level 13-20 I PATCH 6
Worried that you don't have anything else to play after completing the vanilla version of Baldur's Gate 3? What if you can continue playing and be epic at the same time? Check out this mod as this extends you gameplay and kicks it off a notch!
UnlockLevelCurve mod unlocks levels 13 to 20 which opens up a whole new experience for players who love the game. Best of all, it is applicable to all classes and supports a few other mods as well like 5eSpells and multi classing mods. It has also added a few new spells, more resources, more spell slots, and class features to enjoy.
You will need to use BG3ModManager to properly install this mod into your game.
