How to fix Baldur's Gate 3 romance endings bug
Yes, if you're currently on a playthrough of Baldur's Gate 3 but find yourself unable to finish romance lines with certain NPCs, you aren't alone. As per Outstar on Twitter, you can play through romance sequences up until their natural conclusion, which simply won't materialise.
Fortunately, they seem to have an easy hotfix. As per that tweet, simply reload the Sad Choice of your romance save, and select a different option when at the pier, the culmination of your courtship. This should make things work again, but you will inevitably lose out on time and the good ending as a result.
Outstar recently followed up their initial tweet by saying the Baldur's Gate 3 romance ending bug has been fixed in the latest patch, which released on August 24, 2023. As such, things should be back to normal for your Baldur's Gate 3 romances.

Each companion has their own personality and moral compass. Interacting with NPCs that you come across during your adventure or dealing with specific scenarios and situations in a certain way will either align or not with the companion you wish to romance. They will end up approving or disapproving of your actions, strengthening or straining your relationship.
Once you have recruited new companions, you can find them in your camp. Interact with them to get to know them, unlock companion quests, and act properly and you will eventually unlock romantic dialogue options, which in turn can lead to physical intimacy and romance scenes. Developing a romantic relationship with one of your companions will also influence how the rest of the companions think about you.
