After what seems like far too many years, Bayonetta 3 is actually nearly here. Fans have waited an age for a follow-up to the first two games, and it is now releasing on the Nintendo Switch. But will we ever see a Bayonetta 3 PC release?
This third instalment sees Bayonetta back on her feet amongst a cast of colourful characters. The game not only takes place in Tokyo, but some other unexpected locations, too. You of course get to be in control of the Umbra Witch, but also as punky Viola. She's a witch in training that works with a demon named Cheshire.

Is Bayonetta 3 coming to PC?
Unfortunately, Bayonetta 3 is likely not going to come to PC. Nintendo officially owns the publishing rights to Bayonetta 2 and now 3, after striking a deal with PlatinumGames. As such, any ports outside of the Nintendo console family are not very likely to happen.
Would Bayonetta 3 ever come to other platforms?
As Nintendo helped to fund Bayonetta 2 and 3, it is unlikely that they would let what is now an exclusive series come to different platforms. It isn't completely out of the question though, due to the fact the original Bayonetta is available elsewhere.
Other titles that were mostly exclusive to the Nintendo family of consoles, such as Rune Factory 5, have come to PC and other consoles. Therefore, Nintendo may be loosening its grip on titles that aren't specifically associated with the brand.
There was a moment when it looked as if we were getting a Bayonetta 3 PC port. A leak from an Nvidia database in 2021 named Bayonetta 3, and so fans assumed it may be coming. This was shut down relatively fast, as the company said the list was real but completely speculative. Now that we know the game is real, this could suggest a future version...
Are previous Bayonetta games available on other platforms?
Despite the latest game only releasing on the Nintendo Switch, the original Bayonetta was released onto most consoles. This included Steam on PC, PlayStation 3, and Xbox. That was followed by a re-release on PlayStation 4 and Xbox One in 2020 to commemorate its 10th anniversary.
Bayonetta 2, however, was only released on the Wii U and Nintendo Switch. This exclusivity has held fast since its release way back in 2014, with the Switch port following in 2018.
When is the Bayonetta 3 release date?
Bayonetta 3 released on the Nintendo Switch on October 28, 2022. Reviews, including ours, are live now, so you can see whether you'd like to jump into it. There's also our preview for another perspective.
