AK74 is the go-to weapon for many players—not only in Black Ops 6 but in numerous CoDs consistently. With great power, though, comes great responsibility challenges, which is the case with this weapon. Although AK74 packs a lot of power and damage, it falls short on recoil and handling.
That’s if you don’t have the proper attachments enabled. If you’re searching for the best build for the AK74, read more.
The Best AK74 Loadout in Call of Duty Black Ops 6
- Muzzle: Compensator
- Barrel: Reinforced Barrel
- Underbarrel: Vertical Foregrip
- Magazine: Extended Mag 2
- Fire Mods: Recoil Springs
This completes the build for the AK74.
Details of the AK74 Build
The first attachment for the AK74 build is the Compensator, which mainly focuses on Accuracy—particularly the Recoil Gun Kick and the Vertical Recoil Control. It’s no surprise that AK74 has been hard to handle recoil-wise throughout the history of CoD, so having this attachment enabled is a great starter.
Another attachment that significantly increases the accuracy is the Vertical Foregrip, which mainly focuses on the Recoil Gun Kick and Horizontal Recoil Control.
Also, the AK74 is a heavy weapon. While it deals significant damage, the Bullet Velocity is comparatively lesser than other Assault Rifles. With the second attachment enabled, the Reinforced Barrel, the Bullet Velocity for the AK74 gains a 20-percent increase.
Talking about the Magazine, we’ll equip the Extended Mag 2 for this class—not the Extended Mag 1. With this attachment, players can enjoy a 50-round magazine, compared to the 40-round magazine size of Extended Mag 1. There’s a downside to this attachment, though—apart from the decreased Reload Time, there’s also a detriment in the ADS time and Sprint-to-Fire Speed.
We’ve discussed above how Recoil is a great asset for the AK74 compared to other Assault Rifles, so we’ve equipped the Recoil Springs for this class as the concluding attachment. With this add-on, players can enjoy a 5% increase in Recoil Gun Kick, the Horizontal Recoil Control, and the Vertical Recoil Control.
If you haven’t unlocked the Recoil Springs Fire Mods yet or do not like it due to the deficiencies it grants, you can opt for the Commando Grip, which is available in the Rear Grip section of the weapon. With this attachment enabled, players can enjoy a greater Aim Down Sight Speed and a greater Sprint-to-Fire Speed—precisely 13% in both departments.
