Activision typically hosts free trials for the latest Call of Duty every season, sometimes lasting only weekends and sometimes more. Black Ops 6 will get its first one-week trial midway through its inaugural Season 1.

You won't just get to try a small slice of the game but a huge chunk of its multiplayer with fan-favorite maps like Nuketown and Zombies. And the progression carries over, too, so if you were on the fence about the shooter, now is your chance to try it.

Here is the schedule for Black Ops 6 multiplayer and how to play it.

Call of Duty Black Ops 6 free trial start and end date

The Black Ops 6 free trial will start on December 13 and will be available until December 20, 2024. While the exact times aren't yet revealed, expect it to go live at 9 AM PT (12 PM ET, 5 PM GMT).

Past free trials began around that time, and it is also when Call of Duty usually refreshes new and major stuff like seasons. Regardless of when it starts, you'll get a week, including one full weekend, to try out Black Ops 6 for free.

How to access Call of Duty Black Ops 6 free trial

You can play Black Ops 6 on a free trial straight from the Call of Duty HQ. If you have any of the past couple of titles, like MWIII or Warzone, they take you first to HQ, where all recent titles are available to play, including Black Ops 6.

When the free trial is live, you'll see a playlist or an option to play in the HQ. You can manage files and download different packs for games like multiplayer and campaigns.

So, if you want to jump in fast, install the multiplayer pack for BO6 through Warzone (or any other recent title) and hope it doesn't get deleted when the trial goes live, as it does every time.

These trials happen once every season, so even if you remain unsure, don't worry—you'll get another shot. If you want to get the most out of the upcoming free week, check out our guides on the best loadout, omnimovement, and settings.
