Learning to remove bots in Counter Strike 2 is crucial, as they can be annoying to deal with if you are a new player. They often block your bullets and make unnecessary callouts that don't help you understand or learn the game. They feel like a hindrance instead of being useful in many cases.
Thankfully, bots are not available in Counter Strike 2 or Counter Strike: Global Offensive’s competitive modes, but they can be disruptive in private games. If you access Counter Strike 2’s console menu and put in a few magic words, you can make them go away.

How to remove bots in Counter Strike 2 with console commands
There’s a very easy way to kick bots in Counter Strike 2, but you need to activate the console via the settings menu. Simply head to the settings menu and make sure you have the console enabled before trying the following steps.
- Launch the console with ‘~’
- Type: mp_limitteams 1, and press Enter
- Launch the console again
- Type: mp_autoteambalance and press Enter
- Launch the console a third time
- Type: bot_kick to remove all bots from your game
Another thing you need to note is that this process applies to private matches only. Competitive does not have bots in Counter Strike 2, so you will not be able to take advantage of them in any way.
The decision to remove bots from competitive matches was made in CS:GO, and it led to some mixed reactions. If players disconnected or abandoned matches, bots would offer the losing teams a fighting chance.
Good players learned to harness bots by taking control of them after dying once, and essentially used bots as a second life. Bots normally make poor buy decisions and run to random locations, but Valve overlooked the downsides and removed them completely to preserve the competitive integrity of the game.

But not everyone was happy with the decision to remove bots, as the bots gave some teams a fighting chance. Valve is sticking with its decision and it looks like Counter Strike 2 will not have any bots in the competitive mode. But you can still use them in private games to fill up a lobby and practice.
Valve’s stance on bots may change in the future, and we may see them return to competitive. Counter Strike 2 is currently in a limited beta phase and there are still features that may not be part of the game. Wait for the game to officially release for all players to see if Valve makes any changes to how bots function in the game.
