How to start the Dead Cells Return to Castlevania DLC
First thing's first. If you're new to Dead Cells, you can push through the game all you want on a single try - you won't ever find the entrance to Dracula's Castle. You can't start the Return to Castlevania DLC in Dead Cells on a new save with zero deaths. It's as simple as that.
You'll have to have died three times in Dead Cells to access the Return to Castlevania DLC. Don't ask why, but that's how it works. At that point, the Prisoner's Chambers (the spawn room) will be adorned with hundreds of glass bottles hanging from the ceiling, showcasing everything you've unlocked (and everything you haven't.)
Spotting these is your cue to start the Castlevania DLC in Dead Cells. Just press on through the weapon select room. Head through a couple enemy zones in the Prison Start area and be on the lookout for a large staircase going down to the right. It should be very close to the spawn area, so don't stray too far.
There, you'll find Richter at the top of the staircase. He'll comment on your head and ask for your help. Just head down the stairs to begin the Dead Cells Return to Castlevania DLC. You'll need to repeat these steps whenever you die and return to the Prisoner's Quarters.
