While Seasons are no more, replaced instead by Episodes, some things never change, craftable Exotics being one of them. The Destiny 2 Choir of One is just that for Episode 1: Echoes, letting you put the new Void Exotic auto rifle together piece by piece. As such, you’ll want to find out how to get Choir of One in Destiny 2 Echoes, its perks, and details on its Catalyst.

We may have only just put the Witness in the dirt with the culmination of the Destiny 2 The Final Shape missions list but you can always count on the Vex to show up sooner or later. With new activities, gear, and story quests, Episode Echoes is a great opportunity to put all the new Final Shape Exotics to the test, including the one-of-a-kind Exotic class items.

How to Get Choir of One in Destiny 2

Choir of One is expected to be a reward for a new Exotic mission in Destiny 2 Episode Echoes. As a craftable weapon, you will first need to acquire the crafting pattern, before then crafting the weapon.

It’s clear from various leaks that Choir of One is similar to previous Season Exotic weapons, such as Revision Zero and Vexcalibur, in that you will have to complete an Exotic quest (possibly a secret mission) to first unlock the crafting pattern. Then, it’s expected that you will have to unlock various additional perks to tweak the weapon’s performance, as well as its eventual Catalyst.

Destiny 2 Choir of One Perks

According to leaks, the Destiny 2 Echoes’ Exotic Choir of One has the following perks:

  • Fanatical Lance Trait - Rapid final blows cause targets to explode into a pool of radiolarian fluid. Hip firing launches multiple projectiles at once in a slower-moving spread pattern. Projectiles detonate on impact.
  • Element - Void

Fanatical Lance sounds like a strong perk coinciding with the Vex theme of Episode Echoes. Importantly, it impacts the firing pattern of Choir of One, making hip-fire shots more explosive but slower firing. Based on this, it’s possible that Choir of One is actually based on the new support frame archetype for auto rifles in The Final Shape expansion.

Destiny 2 Choir of One Catalyst

Like previous craftable Exotic weapons, the Choir of One Catalyst is expected to be unlocked by completing a challenge within an Exotic quest during Episode Echoes. As for what the Catalyst adds to the weapon, craftable Exotic Catalysts are typically an extra perk.

This lines up with details hidden in the Destiny 2 game files which reveals that Choir of One has three crafting refits that add an additional perk to the weapon:

  • Onslaught Refit - Weapon Kills grant a Stack of Onslaught for 4.5 seconds. Maximum of 3 Stacks.
  • Subsistence Refit - Refills 10% of the Magazine from reserves on Weapon Kills.
  • Destabilizing Rounds Refit - Weapon Kills apply Volatile to enemies in a 6.5-meter radius around the target.

That’s all there is to know about the Destiny 2 Choir of One Void Exotic auto rifle in Episode 1: Echoes. Once more details have been revealed, we’ll update this guide. In the meantime, make sure to complete your collection of Exotics by completing the Wild Card and Destined Heroes quests to unlock Still Hunt and Ergo Sum respectively.
