Then, scroll down to the wardrobe tab. Don't worry, you won't need to change clothes - rather, this is where your companion is selected. Select it and scroll right twice to the Companions section. In here, you'll see all of the companions you've unlocked so far. Click the one you want, back out to the main world, and you should have your new pet alongside you.
Note that when you enter the main castle your companion will vanish until you come back to the Valley. In other realms, companions will not be summonable.
How do I get more pets in Disney Dreamlight Valley?
Of course, if you try and do this straight away, you'll find that you don't have any pets. That's because you have to unlock them gradually as you play, but luckily this doesn't take too much work.
All you need to do is slowly approach an animal roaming around in the wild, interact with it, and feed it its favourite food. Of course, you won't immediately know what food it likes, but as long as it eventually reacts positively to something you've given it, the pet will be willing to accompany you on your travels. You will need to feed it two to three times to make it join you. Also note that each type of animal can only be fed once per day so a revisit is needed after a period of 24 real-life hours has passed.
Yes, there's no need to complete extra quests or spend currency to recruit a pet to walk alongside you in Disney Dreamlight Valley. All you need to do is provide it with its favourite snack, whatever that may be.
