How to upgrade your house in Disney Dreamlight Valley

Unfortunately, you must do a handful of short quests before you can upgrade your house. This being said, save any coins you come across until they are done. These will come in handy later.

You must find Scrooge McDuck at his store and take on his quests to unlock your house upgrade. This will require you to invest in his shop to get it up and running. You then have to craft a few items to place them around the map, and then sell some gemstones to Goofy. This works as a tutorial for the game. Once you've completed those tasks, you'll have free reign of Dreamlight Valley!

You can acquire gemstones by simply breaking rocks. For this, you'll need a pickaxe, which can be found near the stones next to Scrooge's shop. Use this to break both the rocks on the ground, and the black rocks attached to the walls of each area. Generally, you will get some stone and coal from them. That being said, if you are lucky, you will get a gemstone.

We have a guide for upgrading your tools in Disney Dreamlight Valley to help you with this.
