Where to find moonstones in Disney Dreamlight Valley
Most RPGs require currency, and some even have multiple types. Disney Dreamlight Valley is no stranger to these terms, as moonstones will eventually be a premium currency since the game is no longer going to be free-to-play. As the game is currently still in early access, you can’t buy these stones in-game just yet. However, we expect that when the game releases in full on December 5, 2023, there will be microtransactions aimed at the in-game currency.
As these are rare forms of currency, players will be interested to know how they can get more moonstones in the game. Currently, you can get them through a couple of methods, and we've listed them below.
- Moonstone chests - These spawn in the Valley at random spots each day, and they contain 10 moonstones inside. This might seem like a small number but it can add up quickly if you log in and play every day.
- From the Star Path - At each tier, you will get a reward of a small number of stones. This is similar to the likes of a Battle Pass.
- Purchase a Founder’s Pack - You can get up to 42,500 moonstones across each of the Founder’s Packs.
- Purchase a Moonstone Pack - You can buy stones with real money on the platform’s official store. You can buy up to 14,500 moonstones at a time. Fair warning: any stones purchased on the platform must be used on the same platform as well. It cannot be transferred to another one even if they have the same accounts. Check the amounts and pricing below:
- 1,200 moonstones ($4.99)
- 2,500 moonstones ($9.99)
- 5,500 moonstones ($19.99)
- 14,500 moonstones ($49.99)
- Dreamsnaps Challenges - Way back in July 2023, Disney Dreamlight added a new feature called DreamSnaps. You could participate every week in this challenge where you were given a theme and certain criteria for a photo. This included objects like furniture and outfits that would match the theme. After matching all criteria in the photo and submitting it, it would be voted on by other players. You could vote on other players to earn up to 50 moonstones per week. Those who earn favour from other players would get from a few thousand to up to 12,000 moonstones.
- Purchase the Cozy Edition - Gameloft recently revealed the Cozy Edition of Disney Dreamlight Valley. This is the physical version of the game and will include various physical items like collectable postcards and stickers plus digital goodies like a whooping 14,500 moonstones. Those who got the Founder's Edition can still get the Cozy Edition for the exclusives.
How to use premium currency in Disney Dreamlight Valley
As a premium currency, it takes a lot of hard work and dedication to maximise your chances of getting moonstones. The rewards for your efforts are worth it though, as they have a couple of uses. But all of them are connected to the Star Path. You will be able to boost your Star Path and unlock a whole range of exclusive rewards. Additionally, you can trade 100 moonstones for 10 tokens.
