As you play Dragon Quest 3 Remake, you’ll need to track down six different Orbs. These artifacts are the key to reviving Ramia, the legendary phoenix.
Once awakened, Ramia allows you to soar over the overworld and reach otherwise inaccessible locations. This article shows where to find all six Orbs to revive Ramia.
Where To Find All the Orbs
The Orbs are scattered across the land, found in dungeons, defended by challenging enemies, or tied to key story events.
The Echo Flute is a must-have for easier orb hunting. This magical item helps pinpoint the location of the six Orbs.
It emits a sound whenever one is nearby, removing much of the guesswork from your exploration.
Here's where you can find each one:
Green Orb
You can find the Green Orb in Theddon, a town that comes alive at night but remains strangely silent during the day.
You'll need the Ultimate Key to unlock it. During the day, explore the area and familiarize yourself with the prison’s layout.
Come back when night falls to release the prisoner and prepare for a tough encounter.
Inside, expect to face several Dying Fires and Phantasms. These enemies can call for backup, which drags the fight on.
Keep your party’s health up, and use Magic Barrier to lessen enemy spell damage.
Once the enemies are defeated, the prisoner will hand the Green Orb over to you for your efforts.
Blue Orb
The Blue Orb can be obtained by completing a solo trial at Gaia’s Naval, reached via Lanson.
Talk to a priest in northern Lanson, and they’ll lead you to the trial.
Equip your Hero with healing items, potent single-target weapons, and accessories that counter status effects.
As you progress, you'll face weaker monsters. But the last hurdle is the boss, Chiromancer, usually seen with Mad Vlad.
Taking down Mad Vlad first is a smart move since it throws off Chiromancer’s flow, making him waste turns trying to bring his ally back.
Mix offensive spells like Zapple and defensive skills like Meditation to stay balanced.
Once the battle is over, take the Blue Orb from the treasure room and gather any other loot before you head out.
Purple Orb
To obtain the Purple Orb, head to Jipang, where the town is tormented by the dragon Orochi.
The story unfolds as you learn about the town’s grim tradition of sacrificing women to the beast.
You should begin by searching for Yayoi, the current sacrifice, which is tucked inside a basket in the town's northwest cellar.
She will direct you to Orochi’s cave, which is located to the east. After being defeated in the first battle, Orochi retreats to the main hall of Jipang.
Use this time to restore your party, either with magic or by stopping at an inn, before facing Orochi again.
Orochi turns more aggressive in the second encounter. Use buffs like Kabuff, Kasap, and Insulate to bolster your defenses.
Beat Orochi once and for all, and you'll receive the Purple Orb.
Red Orb
The Red Orb is among the easiest to find.
Head east from Aliahan to the Pirate’s Den and look for a glowing statue. Slide the statue to reveal a hidden staircase that leads to a secret space.
Head down the stairs and pick up the treasures, including the Red Orb. This Orb doesn't come with any battles or major obstacles, making it an easy part of your quest.
Yellow Orb
The Yellow Orb wants you to pitch in and get a new town going, which kicks off as a nameless settlement east of Persistence.
Hire a Merchant and settle them in the town to get its growth going.
Creating a new Merchant for this task is best to avoid losing a valuable party member.
Drop by the town occasionally, as the game will provide hints when it’s time to return.
Eventually, the townsfolk will imprison the Merchant for mismanagement and greed.
Visit the jailed Merchant, who will drop a clue about a hidden treasure behind the throne in their mansion.
Search the throne to locate the Yellow Orb.
Silver Orb
You’ll find the Silver Orb in the Necrogrond Shrine, though unlocking it requires completing a series of tasks.
First, sail south of Ashem to the volcano and toss the Mountain Cleaver into its core.
This triggers a volcanic eruption that forms a hardened lava trail leading to the Maw of the Necrogrond.
The dungeon is teeming with strong enemies, some of which can paralyze your team and unleash powerful spells like Thwack.
You’ll find many Liquid Metal Slimes here, which are great for earning EXP. Use abilities like Falcon Slash or Critical Claim to defeat them.
After completing the dungeon, go to the shrine east of Necrogrond to retrieve the Silver Orb.
Once you have gathered all six Orbs, travel to the Shrine of the Everbird on a snowy island in the southern part of the map.
Put the Orbs on the pedestal to revive Ramia and soar through the skies.
