Wondering how to learn Elvish in Dragon's Dogma 2? We've got you covered.
Among these diverse towns is Sacred Harbor, a place where many players fail as they strive to understand the secret language spoken by their residents. The village of Sacred Harbor is inhabited mainly by elves who can speak a language unknown to the players.
The Elvish language is the core of the quests and experiences related to Sacred Harbor, so players must understand their distinctive language. Although learning a new language in real life may be difficult, do not worry. Dragon’s Dogma 2 grants an opportunity to those who desire to learn Elvish and know more about the lore of the Sacred Harbor.
How to learn Elvish in Dragon's Dogma 2
If you want to learn Elvish, you will need a pawn with a specialization called Woodland Wordsmith, because they will help you translate Elve’s script into your game language. Hence, if you take these pawns at Sacred Harbor, you can fully understand Elvish.
Nevertheless, in Dragon’s Dogma 2, every pawn has a unique specialization, so it will be a daunting task to find a pawn with this ability.
How to get Pawn with Woodland Wordsmith Specialization
In Dragon’s Dogma 2, you can acquire pawns in two different ways such as recruiting them alongside your journey or by changing the specialization of your main pawn.
Recruit Pawns
In this method, you will need to recruit a Pawn with Woodland Wordsmith Specialization, which you can find while exploring the game map. Alternatively, you can also visit Riftstone in Vernworth and search for the pawn with this skill. However, keep in mind that they will be your recruited pawns and you will not be able to change their specializations, unlike your main Pawn.
Change Specialization
On the other hand, you can also change your Main pawn’s specialization to Woodland Wordsmith. However, to do that, you will need a Woodland Wordsmith totem.
- To get this item, increase your infinity with one of the elves roaming in Sacred Harbor.
- Although you can select any elf, it is advisable to select an innkeeper as you will find them in the same spot every day.
- To increase infinity, give a bunch of flowers to the elf.
- Keep doing it for 2 or 3 days until the elf offers you the totem in the end.
- After acquiring the totem, change the specialization of your main pawns in the Implementory Tab in your inventory.
How to understand Elvish in Dragon's Dogma 2
Once you have acquired the pawn, now visit the Sacred Harbor along with your pawn. The pawn will then automatically translate the script into the system language you have set. However, it is important to note that if this pawn dies in Sacred Harbor, you will again lose the ability to understand Elvish so make sure you protect your pawn at any cost.
