With a line-up of some of the most recognisable dinosaurs in our history, Exoprimal provides many enormous challenges for players to overcome. Among those challenges, none are more significant than the lizard tyrant itself. Here are our tips on how to beat a T-Rex in Exoprimal.

Exoprimal very much teases the appearance of the T-Rex in the game and makes players work for it, as you won't encounter the beast until the later stages of the storyline. This may, however, be a blessing in disguise, as it allows ample time for you to become familiar with the game's mechanics and test yourself against slightly weaker dinos like the Carnotaurus and Triceratops.

Pick the right Exosuit

There are 10 Exosuit options across three classes to choose from in Exoprimal, each with their own weapons, perks, and strengths. Whether you choose an Assault, Tank, or Support Exosuit can be the difference between triumph or failure.

The T-Rex is one of the biggest challenges in the game, so to give yourself the best chance of overcoming the beast, play using the Exosuit that you feel most comfortable in. Take the time to study all of the Exosuit's abilities so you can time their activation at the right times for maximum effectiveness.

Master your Exoprimal Exosuit

The T-Rex is one of the most formidable adversaries in Exoprimal, so it is important that you are aware of where your Exosuit thrives, and exploiting those areas of expertise.

If you are using a Tank, understanding how to absorb damage and deliver a powerful counterpunch is crucial. In a similar fashion, understanding your role as a Support can be the difference between victory and defeat.

Always pick a Support Exosuit in your team

If you want to beat a T-Rex in Exoprimal, you need all members of the team at the top of their game. In order to do that, all five members need to remain alive, which is where a Support Exosuit comes in.

Teams that suffer multiple interruptions due to respawn times or having to recall a fallen comrade will feel the effects of the delays. Ensuring a Support Exosuit, namely Nimbus, Skywave, or Witchdoctor, will reduce the instances of Exopilot deaths and keep them actively attacking the T-Rex.

Keep your distance

While it is easier said and done, keeping a safe distance from the T-Rex is the best thing you can do to survive. This is more difficult with a melee-inclined Exosuit, such as Roadblock, Zephyr, or Murasame, so timing is key to getting in, inflicting damage, and getting out before the dino can respond.

Establishing a distance from the T-Rex is certainly recommended at the start of the encounter. Avoid rushing into the battle to allow yourself to recognise its attacks and time your counterstrikes accordingly.

We hope this helps you to beat a T-Rex! For more information on Exoprimal, check out our Exosuit tier list and how to open the game's War Chests!
