Fatal Fury: City of the Wolves comes out this month. It looks like SNK’s highest-quality fighting game so far. With all the talk surrounding this fighter’s celebrity guests, fans wonder who else is in this game. The celebrities may have garnered mixed reactions, but there are still plenty of SNK favorites returning for this entry.
COTW has been highly anticipated for many reasons, mainly because it is an official follow-up to Garou: Mark of the Wolves. It’s been over a decade since the story of Rock Howard started, and fans can’t wait to see how it continues. They also want to see who else on this roster joins Rock on his journey.
So, without further ado, here are all the confirmed playable characters for Fatal Fury: COTW.
Base Roster
The game’s base roster will have 17 characters at launch, which is decent enough for a modern fighter. While fans might be used to the 30+ characters in a King of Fighters entry, Fatal Fury has always been more subdued, and this decently-sized roster is far from bad. Naturally, favorites like Terry Bogard and Mai Shiranui are here, but there are more characters to be hyped for.
Here is the base roster for Fatal Fury: COTW:
- Rock Howard
- Terry Bogard
- B. Jenet
- Marco Rodrigues
- Preecha
- Hotaru Futaba
- Vox Reaper
- Tizoc
- Kevin Rian
- Billy Kane
- Mai Shiranui
- Kim Dong Hwan
- Gato
- Kain R. Heinlein
- Cristiano Ronaldo
- Salvatore Ganacci
- Hokutomaru
DLC Roster
Five DLC characters have been confirmed for City of the Wolves, two of whom are from Capcom’s legendary Street Fighter series. The best part is that these characters will be free, as all copies of this game will be bundled with that first Season Pass. It’s a method more fighting games should use.
Without further ado, here are the DLC characters coming to Fatal Fury: COTW:
- Andy Bogard (Summer 2025)
- Ken Masters (Summer 2025)
- Joe Higashi (Fall 2025)
- Chun-Li (Winter 2025)
- Mr. Big (Early 2026)
That’s the complete roster of Fatal Fury: City of the Wolves, thus far. Because this is a modern fighting game, fans can expect even more DLC if this fighter sells well. Considering how fans have waited a long time for this entry, not to mention the goodwill Terry and Mai have from appearing in Street Fighter 6.
Fatal Fury: City of the Wolves comes to PS4, PS5, Xbox Series, and PC on April 24, 2025.
