New FFXIV relic weapons were introduced in patch 6.25.
March 8, 2023: We've added the final step to the new Manderville relic weapon questline for patch 6.35, including how and where to get Complementary Chondrite Chunks.

At long last new FFXIV relic weapons have found their way into the game via the FFXIV 6.25 patch. Though not as late as the Shadowbringers resistance weapons introduced in 5.35, the Manderville weapons released on October 18, 2022, have arrived quite a bit later than past relic weapon steps in previous expansions.

Down below, we're going to focus on the new relic weapons first and foremost. It can be hard to view every design in-game given you have to wait for a person of each class to get them. After seeing the bunch, you'll know which one you want to work on first, so we'll list out the current Endwalker relic weapon steps as well.

Mandverville relic weapon steps (6.25 and 6.35)

How to get a FFXIV Manderville relic weapon

Getting your new FFXIV Manderville relic weapon is really easy. If you've been around long enough to have completed the Manderville questline, that is.

Originally designed as a joke and not envisioned to last beyond A Realm Reborn, the wacky adventures of Hildebrand and his crew have skipped just one expansion in the past, making this step the real slog of the traditional relic weapon grind.

How to get Manderium Meteorite

If you've already completed that lengthy expansion-trotting quest chain, you'll be at a point where you need three Manderium Meteorite.

You can get these for 500 Astronomy tomestones a piece from Jubrunnha in Radz-at-Han right by the main aetheryte.

How to upgrade Manderville relic weapons in FFXIV 6.35

FFXIV 6.35 introduced the second major relic weapon step for the Manderville relic weapons added in 6.25. Here's how to continue upgrading any Manderville relic weapons in your possession.

Visit Gerolt

Head to Radz-at-Han and talk to Gerolt at X:12.0 Y:7.1 and pick up the quest 'Well-oiled'. You'll need to have completed 'Make it a Manderville' and 'Generational Bonding' to see this one, so keep plugging away at the patch's Manderville quests.

Once you're done with that step, pick up the next quest to continue the Manderville relic weapon saga.

Complementary Chondrite Chunks

Just like last time, there isn't a whole lot to it. There's no grind here beyond needing 1500 Tomestones of Astronomy.

Once you have them, just spend them on Complementary Chondrite Chunks at 500 Tomestones a piece from Jubrunnah. Head back to Gerolt and he'll upgrade your chosen Manderville weapon into an Amazing Manderville weapon at ilvl 630. The design will be the same, but you'll get a cool glow.

Warrior

As always, if you want the bigger weapon of the lot, you have to go with a Warrior axe. It's big, it's sharp, and it's shiny. Grab this massive unit if you want to be seen.

Gunbreaker

Disregarding the cool sneakers, the Gunbreaker Manderville relic weapon isn't really anything too outlandish. It features a fancy edge and a neat little rune toward the bottom, but that's about it for flash.

Dark Knight

Stylishly modelled here, the Dark Knight Manderville relic weapon is about as gothically intricate as they come. If you're in the iconic themes of other Dark Knight weapons, you'll likely want to keep an eye on this one.

Red Mage

Another one that's beautifully modelled by a well-dressed Warrior of Light, the Red Mage Manderville relic weapon is sharp and striking. This fine edge will make a fine addition to your armoury.

Black Mage

The Black Mage Manderville relic weapon is as iconic as the one featured in the A Realm Reborn artwork all those years ago. Knowing it'll glow with the spells you cast, you won't have to wait for visuals to be added to the models for this one to shine bright.

Summoner

As usual, the Summoner Manderville relic weapon is a bleak affair that instills the thought that its wielder is about to call for monster after monster. You'll probably be glamouring some other one over this for now, but the future potential is there.

Machinist

This glorious handcannon is the Machinist Manderville relic weapon, which appears to call back to the golden day of Alexander Gordias on first look. With no gauss barrel to spice it up these days, its allure is limited, but we can see the glow up coming.

Dancer

Featured a slew of unique and thoughtful embellishments, the Dancer Manderville relic weapons are worthy of a cheer.

We're not quite so sold on the aerodynamic properties of charkams with clear points along their circle, but it would hardly be the first time we've guessed the real-world practicality of a weapon design.

Bard

The Bard Manderville relic weapon takes cues from the Heavensward versions introduced all those years ago. It'll be a while before we see what the battle harp will become, and we're excited.

Monk

Shot from the fear, the Monk Manderville relic weapons closely resemble the latter stages of the ARR versions, incorporating the visual dragon heads more solidly into the design.

Ninja

Double the arms mean double the fun. With the Ninja Manderville relic weapon, you get two identical blades to show off as you shadow-step and Naruto run your way through the world. The blue is a little offputting here, but perhaps you can dye it out

Dragoon

Proudly displayed by a bunny boy's bear buns, the Dragoon Maderville relic weapon looks a little like something you'd pull from the coffers of Ramuh or from the Sahagin dens of La Noscea. It's cool, it's pointy, it's what you want.

Reaper

There's no getting around the fact that the Reaper Maderville relic weapon is a thing of beauty.

If you're at all a fan of Bloodborne, it's one to look out for. Given Reaper is the new kid on the bloc, it makes sense that it'd get one of the more unique designs just through virtue of there not being many Reaper weapons out there.

Samurai

The Samurai Maderville relic weapon features a striking design all the way down to the base of the sheath. You won't see it much while you're swishing it around in battle, but it's quite the piece for idling.

Scholar

The Scholar Maderville relic weapon is, as you might have guessed, another book. Of course it is. From a distance, it looks rather generic, but up close, it looks to use motiffs and emblems from across the game to come up with something that we expect to get fleshed out in later versions.

Astrologian

The Astrologian Maderville relic weapon is another one that's difficult to comment on without extensive experience of the class.

Though most globes look highly detailed and unique on close inspection, a single static shot can't do this one justice. You're better off seeking it in person.

White Mage

The White Mage Manderville relic weapon looks like the amalgamation of quite a few relic weapons to come before it. There's nothing really to write home about this one just yet, but the potential is there.

Sage

The Manderville Sage relics are a little tricky to see in this shot. Not because of the zoom, but because having four tiny missiles floating around you can make it hard to pick up the finer details.

Paladin

Brandishing a very high-quality, detailed motif, the Paladin Manderville weapon is perhaps the best of the lot. If you're into something more than a simple wooden buckler, at least. Even those have their charms.

If you need another look at the lot, Twitter user Nyanyaxiv graciously captured the lot in front of a nice white screen. Mixed with a consistent character look, it's a lot easier to pick out the details here than in the randomly framed shots above.

If the full thread doesn't load here, just give it a click to be whisked away to the lot on Twitter itself.

We'll keep updating this page with each Manderville relic weapon step as they come out and add more images to each class gallery as they come. For now, though, check out our FFXIV Eureka Orthos guide if you're hitting that up this patch, too.
