How to get Scarletite in Final Fantasy 16
If you're looking to get Scarletite in Final Fantasy 16, you need to learn how to do hunts. Like resources such as Orichalcum and Darksteel, you need to harvest it to get rare gear, and it's a great way of getting ahead of some of the tougher bosses. You can find five Scarletite in the following four hunts:
- Dozmare (The Griffin, Level 28) - You can find The Griffin in the Holy Empire of Sanbreque, and is unlocked as part of the Blacksmith's Blues quest. Beating it will grant you one Scarletite, one Meteorite, 650 exp, 55 Ability Points, 8,500 Gil, and 20 Renown.
- Fastitocalon (Level 34) - The Fastitocalon can be found in the Dhalmekian Republic, and is significantly harder then the previous hunt. This being said, you get two Scarletite, 1,100 exp, 65 Ability Points, 10,000 Gil, and 20 Renown for beating it.
- The Ten of Clubs (Level 35) - The Ten of Clubs is a hunt you can find in the Dhalmekian Republic. Once you have beaten it, you are given 2,530 exp, 70 Ability Points, one Meteorite, one Scarletite, 12,420 Gil, and 20 Renown.
- Holy Trumpitour (Level 38) - The Holy Trumpitour can be found in the Holy Empire of Sanbreque. For beating it, you get 2,200 exp, 75 Ability Points, one Meteorite, one Scarletite, 9,800 Gil, and 20 Renown.
With Scarletite, you can build the following items:
- Drakeslayer’s Belt
- Drakeslayer’s Bracelets
- Excalibur
These are all great for different reasons. The Drakeslayer's Belt has huge defense and a nice HP buff - so too does the Drakeslayer's Bracelets. These can pull you all the way through to near the end of the game.
The Excalibur is a really great weapon for where you will be in the story around the time you unlock, it but it is quickly surpassed by other weapons you can buy from the shop and from the Blacksmith. This isn't quite as necessary as the previous two. These are the only items you can craft with Scarletite.
