As every Final Fantasy VII player knows, getting the person you want to go on a date with you while the party stays at Gold Saucer amusement park was a real task. With Gold Saucer being part of Final Fantasy VII Rebirth, the dating game is back, and it's even more complex this time.

Making the right choice of responses and other actions in Final Fantasy VII Rebirth was necessary to end up on a date with Tifa, Aerith, Yuffie... or even Barret. Let's dive into what you need to do to get all Gold Saucer date scenes.

Final Fantasy VII Rebirth features a brand new relationship system through which you build relationships with all the characters during the game.

You can see your current relationship with a character represented by a smiley icon above their head, and at any time, you can check the details by selecting "system" from the main menu, then "play log," and using R1 to navigate through tabs to the section that provides detailed information about the relationship with each character.

You will build relationships with Barret, Tifa, Aerith, Red XIII, and Yuffie by having the right conversations with them, completing Odd Jobs (sidequests) together, using shared Synergy Skills & Abilities, and passing through certain Story Beats that vary from character to character.

When you reach Chapter 8, the character with whom you have the highest percentage of built relationships will accompany you on a date. However, in Final Fantasy VII Rebirth, this is only the first part of the date, which will be interrupted here to continue later in Chapter 12 when you return to Gold Saucer.

If your relationship dynamics have changed in the meantime, a different character may accompany you in the final part of the date, which includes the iconic Skywheel ride and unique scenes that you want to see.

In Final Fantasy VII Rebirth, it's possible to go on a Gold Saucer date with Tifa, Aerith, Yuffie, and even Barret and Red XIII. If you don't have any character with a sufficiently built relationship with you, there's also the "Others" option, consisting of Caith Sith, Cid, and Vincent, who will take you on a guys' night out.

It all depends on the relationship system and how much you've built it with the characters you want. In the original Final Fantasy VII, getting a different outcome often required a completely new playthrough or going back to old save files. However, in Rebirth, there's a quicker way to see all possible outcomes of Gold Saucer dates.

After completing the game, several new options will unlock under the System menu. The first one is "Chapter Selection," which allows you to replay chapters, choosing whether you want to transfer your quest completion data or not, but keep in mind that relationship progress will be transferred regardless.

Using the Chapter Select system, you can complete any missed Odd Jobs and all other interactions necessary to grind a higher relationship status percentage with the character you desire. You need to have at least a 50% relationship status to be able to go on a Golden Saucer date.

Once you’re done improving your relationships with Final Fantasy VII Rebirth characters, select the "Extra Settings" menu, an option that will also appear in the System menu after finishing the game. In this additional menu, you can adjust settings that will help you reach different outcomes of the dates more quickly.

To start, set the “Skip Zack's Story” option to “Yes” to save time in Chapter 12. Then, choose from the list which companion you want for the date in Chapter 12. Only characters with at least a 50% relationship status will appear on the list. Finally, there's the option for the Chapter 12 Date Event Conclusion - here, you'll be able to choose between Standard and Intimate conclusions but note that the Intimate conclusion will only be possible if you have a filled relationship scale.

Once you finish these settings, go to Chapter Selection and select Chapter 12 "A Golden Key". From the beginning of this chapter, you'll just need to drive the Tiny Bronco to Costa del Sol and then use Fast Travel to reach the Golden Saucer. Skip a few animations, go to the hotel, and the date will play out.
