If you're a fan of the original Final Fantasy VII game, then you'll no doubt recognise the Junon military parade.
In Chapter 4 of Final Fantasy VII Rebirth, “Dawn of a New Era”, Cloud and the team will head to the fishing town of Junon to join the parade. This is just another location under the control of the Shinra Corporation, and if you played the original Final Fantasy VII, you'll probably remember that the military parade in Junon was organised to welcome the new president, Rufus Shinra.
In the game, Cloud had to disguise himself as a Shinra trooper and participate in the parade. In Final Fantasy VII Rebirth, the event has been expanded into a crazy spectacle involving Tifa and Aerith this time around. If you complete this segment, you can win the "7th Assemble!" and "Stealing the Show" trophies, so let's see how to get them.
How to get "7th Assemble!" trophy
In this updated version, Cloud is tasked with participating in the formal parade routine, but also with rounding up and organising soldiers of various branches of Shinra’s 7th infantry.
To start, you need to find all of the 7th Infantry soldier groups scattered around the parade, where they're enjoying their free time throughout Junon. For the parade performance, you'll only need five of these soldiers, but that won't steal the show - you need to find all 10 7th infantry groups and send them to rehearsal. Check out the list below for all the locations of Shinra Troopers in Junon.
All 10 7th Infantry locations in Junon
- As soon as you enter the covered part of the town with the main street and shops, a short cutscene with Rude will play out, showing you the location of The Glabrescent Bar. Go down the stairs and enter for another hilarious cutscene where you will find the first Infantry group.
- Across the street, enter Cecilia's of Junon fashion store. You will find another Infantry group in the right part of the shop.
- When you exit the fashion store, head right to the first shop you can enter, just after where Red XIII is being bothered by children. Look for The Full Arsenal store, and as soon as you enter, you will see a couple of soldiers browsing items in the shop. To recruit them, you need to talk to those located in the lower part of the shop, down the stairs, where they are looking at the model of the Junon cannon.
- Then, you need to get to the Barracks. So from the Full Arsenal store, go up to the first floor, head left from the main door, and then back down the street to enter the Barracks. Go up the stairs to the second floor into the Assembly Room where you will find another Infantry group giving an interview for a TV station. Interact with them for some more comedy.
- While in the Barracks, go up one more floor above the stairs into the Briefing Room. Proceed to the end of the room to find another Infantry group.
- Outside the Barracks, on the same side of the street, there is another entrance at the end of the row leading to Laboard Garrison. As soon as you enter, go down the stairs to the right into the Storeroom to find some more soldiers playing a tabletop game.
- Across the street in the covered part of the town, just opposite the Barracks, there is a staircase with a girl leaning against a banner. Go up this staircase to find Le Sourire bar, where you will immediately see a group of soldiers standing and discussing their future.
- Next, head to the outside part of the town, cross the street and go up the stairs to the area overlooking the sea with tourist coin-operated binoculars. There you will find another group of soldiers looking up, admiring the real Junon cannon.
- Return to the Barracks and head down to the Lobby on the lowest floor, from where you can exit to the outside part of Junon. Head left and down the street until you see a group of soldiers taking a photo. Help them take the photo to recruit them.
- On the same side of the street where the internal entrance to the Barracks and other shops are located, locate the Shopping Center. You'll know you're in the right spot when the hostesses greet you as soon as you enter. Go up two floors to Shopping Center 3F to locate the final soldier group browsing some goods to the right of the displayed handbags.
Once you've rounded up all of the 7th Infantry units, you'll earn the "7th Assemble!" trophy during the Junon Parade.
How to get the "Stealing the Show" Trophy
Now you can report to the commander outside to start the parade - but first, you need to organise the units as shown in the picture below.
By organising your troops in this way, you'll have a show that consists of three acts with three-star difficulty. This then gives you the chance to win Rufus' recommendation and the "Stealing the Show" trophy, provided you can successfully execute all quick-time events during the parade. It's not necessary to have 100% accuracy during the parade, but this setup will allow your infantry to win first place and Rufus' prize even if you make a few mistakes.
There's also a practice mode, so you can get used to the controls before starting the show. The quick-time event sequence is very similar to the dance routine with the cross-dressing Cloud from Final Fantasy VII Remake, so the mechanics will likely be familiar.
But there you have it, that's all you need to know about Junon Parade in Final Fantasy VII Rebirth and how to take those trophies home. For more on the game, check out our guide on how to get the Odin Summon.
