Square Enix is back with a brand new, squeaky-clean IP in Foamstars, a four-person PvP party shooter that uses bubbles as ammunition. Of the three game modes included at launch is the Rubber Duck Party mode, which we'll delve into for those wondering what it entails.

Foamstars features three exciting and vibrant game modes for players to compete in when the game drops, which are Smash the Star, Happy Bath Survival, and Rubber Duck Party. Each has a distinctly different objective, so we'll take a look at what the duck is happening in the latter.

We've got you covered with all things Foamstars. Take a look at if the game is launching on Xbox and PC or Nintendo Switch, as well as whether or not we'll see Foamstars as a free-to-play title.

What is Rubber Duck Party mode?

Not all game modes in Foamstars are about knocking out your opponent (how you knock someone out with bubbles is yet to be seen), other game modes test players in a variety of ways. Most notable is the Rubber Duck Party mode.

Much like Escort or Payload in Overwatch, Foamstars' Rubber Duck Party mode tasks teams to claim dominion over the huge rubber duck in the centre of the arena and move it towards the opposition's goal. Once the duck reaches its destination, it's game over. However, the game works very much like a tug of war, so you'll need to balance keeping yourself on the duck and keeping the opposition team off of it.

To complete the match objective, you'll simply need to stand on top of the duck's head to progress it to the goal. Of course, it sounds easy in theory when you don't factor in the incoming advances of your foes, but that's where lies the challenge. To give the duck a boost, you can hold the Circle button on your PS controller and bust a move, encouraging the duck to sprint to the finish line with your stylish dancing.

That's all you need to know about Rubber Duck Party mode. For more Foamstars content, take a look at how to download the game and what mission mode entails.
