At the moment, it looks as if the new Fortnite season will be called Fortnite Mega. It looks to be taking place in a futuristic setting based off Japan or other brightly-lit cities around the world.

This is a majorly different shift from the current season's medieval castle theme. There look to be a lot of brightly coloured places on the island this time around. Here are just some of the upcoming changes below.

Neo-Tokyo

Neo-Tokyo will most likely be the new main spot of the season. Expect glowing neon signs and vibrant structures at this key location.

Japanese kanji ornaments are sprawled over the gorgeous cyber setting, and we're spotting rails to grind on and low-gravity travel tunnels not unlike the one that pushed us around the map during the Summer 2022 season.

Remember that they slow your fall rate when you jump off toward your target destination, making them a great way to redeploy your glider to go the distance.

More map changes

The community's beloved Lucky Landing is expected to make a return in the new season. Though it's to be noted that Lucky Landing will probably look slightly different to comply with the season's new futuristic themes.

Tilted Towers is slated to appear in the Season 2 map as well. Well-known Fortnite leaker, FortTory, mentioned this comeback. It's also speculated that Neo-Tokyo is simply a newer version of Tilted Towers.

Another POI planned for the upcoming season is "Loot Island." It's likely a sky island that can be reached via a rift portal with a lot of loot. And where there's loot, there are competitive players looking for that high-risk/high-reward thrill.

Unveiled codenames for areas like Cyber Dragon, Dojo, Hot Springs, Loot Island, Neon City (A-C + Store), and Zen Garden have also appeared online, giving us an idea of which other features to expect from the upcoming map.
