Whether you have played the original or last year's highly-anticipated third instalment, those fortunate to own a Nintendo Switch will be able to get the same high-octane action and traverse through over-the-top set pieces. Throughout the series, the Umbra Witch Bayonetta has fought against angels, demons, and even multiverse versions of herself as she saves the world again and again with confidence and snarky quips.

While you can still play the original game on other consoles, the series has now become a celebrated staple on the Switch, as one of their finest exclusive titles. It also gives Nintendo the chance to release something aimed specifically towards older gamers. Although Forspoken won't be making its way to other consoles any time soon, this is a great action-adventure series that no one should miss out on.

Easily many people's game of the year for 2022, Elden Ring is still enjoyed and discussed positively, even after nearly a year since it was released. Managing to push the boundaries of graphical prowess, open world environments, and build upon the souls-like gameplay, FromSoftware knocked it out of the park in spades.

While its combat and traversal movements may not be as swift as Frey's gameplay with her magical abilities, it's still an engaging and dangerous world that those few who have yet to check out should consider. Those who have yet to play anything from FromSoftware should be inclined to, as some boss encounters in Forspoken seem to be inspired by the tough-as-nails approach that the studio has been known to develop for its own games.

Nearly eight years have passed since the game came out, but it is that anyone who loves fantasy should not miss out on. Even better, the game is now fully upgraded for next-gen consoles and PC.
