The story of Teyvat seems to be taking a dark turn, with characters appearing who truly don't wish the best for the Traveler and their comrades. So, who is Dottore in Genshin Impact, also known as The Doctor?
It's time to take a look at what will most likely be another playable character in Genshin Impact in the near future. We've already got one Fatui Harbinger with a second on the way, and Il Dottore, The Doctor, seems to be the next on the cards after Wanderer's release.

When is the Genshin Impact Dottore release date?
The Dottore release date into Genshin Impact is total speculation for now, but it is safe to say it won't be any time soon.
We also don't know what name he will release under. Like Scaramouche being called the Wanderer as a playable character, Dottore will likely have a redesign, too.
As such, there's no release date yet, so stay tuned!
What do we know about Dottore's build in Genshin Impact?
Any information we have about Dottore's build is thin on the ground, and based on leaks and speculation for now. This is what we've compiled so far!
Which Vision will Dottore hold?
Currently, there is no hint as to what Vision (or Delusion) Dottore will hold as a playable character, or even as a Harbinger. Judging purely by his design, he appears to be a Cryo or Hydro Vision holder. This would work very well if he is to use a Claymore, as there is currently no Hydro Claymore user in Genshin Impact.
What weapon does Dottore use?
According to reliable leaker Ubatcha, Dottore is labelled as a Claymore user. This is subject to change as his story progresses.
Who is Il Dottore, the Doctor in Genshin Impact?
Il Dottore, The Doctor, Second of the Fatui Harbingers, isn't a new name to long-time Genshin fans. He originally appeared in the manga, but with a very different design.
He's an evil figure shrouded in mystery, but some things are known for certain. He's a Fatui Harbinger that hails from Snezhnaya, and has ill-intents. At first, his quest to create 'enhanced humans' led him to Mondstadt, and then the Akademiya in Sumeru. He had been exiled from his hometown because of his experiments and was later kicked out of the Akademiya for the same reasons. After this, Pierro the First Harbinger approached him to join the Harbingers, gifting him the name Il Dottore.
The worst part about Dottore, however, is that he performed experiments relating to the Eleazar disease in Sumeru, including on Collei. This explains her dark past and the fact she has flashbacks.
Dottore appears to have created what can only be described as 'Horcruxes' of himself: replicas of different stages in his life that can be sent out to fulfil purposes. In the Archon quest of Sumeru, Nahida orders him to destroy them all in exchange for the Electro Gnosis that she took from The Balladeer. Though they were destroyed, he still has a very big chance of returning as an enemy again before we get Dottore a playable character.
