How to get Chaos Flame in God of War Ragnarok

Unlike the rest of the resources in the game, the majority of Chaos Flames cannot be looted from chests, or picked up from side missions. They are directly linked to your progress through the main game, and are picked up as rewards for some of the game's many bosses. This is also true for Frozen Flame.

This being said, you need Chaos Sparks found throughout the game to build the very last Chaos Flame.

You can use them to upgrade the Blades of Chaos by going over to Brok and Sindri. You don't have to pay anything to upgrade them, but you may want to upgrade your gear to fully take advantage of them. Doing so will give you access to more skills and higher rune damage.

The best Chaos Blade skills in God of War Ragnarok

The best Chaos Blade skills will likely depend on your play style and build, but we would recommend putting some of your experience points into the range skill tree. Namely, you should grab skills like Hyperion Pull and Blazing Surge.

From here, it's worth grabbing some of the more evasive moves. In the Melee tree, pick up Evasive Embers and Spinning Chaos, allowing you to weave in and out of combat whilst doing damage. From here, grab Immolation and Furious Immolation to set your enemies alight.

Crafting resources are used to upgrade your other gear, which necessary to make the best of Kratos' abilities. After all, it's no good having powerful blades if your other gear isn't up to scratch.

If you want to upgrade your gear, you should take on other quests and take paths you aren't told to go down. As well as this, you should aim to upgrade your luck skill.
