Your weapon is one of the most important parts of your build in Granblue Fantasy Relink. The weapon itself is merely a statistic with a few stat-based passives pasted on top, however, these things can make all the difference for you in combat. This is why it's important to know how to craft weapons in Granblue Fantasy Relink.
When crafting weapons, you don't simply lose out on all the investment you've made in your previous weapon. Today we'll get over the collection system for weapon masteries and how you can collect Champion Merit to craft weapons in Granblue Fantasy Relink.
While you're here, you should also learn how to change characters and how to get the Silver Key in Granblue Fantasy Relink.
How to craft Granblue Fantasy Relink weapons
You can craft weapons at any of the Blacksmith shops in the game. You can also forge weapons at the Hallowed Grounds spread throughout each stage. After Episode 4, you will unlock the ability to craft different weapons for your crew. Crafting weapons costs a random rare boss resource (Bizzare Wing or a Chieftain's Braid), and a Champion Merit.
How to get Granblue Fantasy Relink Champion Merit
Champion Merit will be harder to find earlier in the game and you might find yourself limited in the number of weapons you can craft. If you want to fit your whole party of four with crafted weapons you need to go out of your way to find Champion Merits.
Side Quests
There will be several side quests that you can find in the overworld that will reward you with Champion Merit. You have to follow the yellow side quest markers on your minimap and then you can track them from the Side Quests screen in your main menu. Be on the lookout for quests that give Champion Merits as you can find some of them early on in Seedhollow.
Quest Counter rewards
Some quests at the Quest Counter will also reward you with Champion Merits for first clears. Namely, the Golbin Warrior boss quest and other similar quests that pop up later are always worth checking. Be sure to check back with the quest counter after clearing every episode.
Granblue Fantasy Relink Collection Mastery explained
Once you've forged the weapon you can switch to it and use your new improved version. Forged weapons tend to have better passives and attack stats. Once you forge a weapon, you unlock the Collection screen for your characters in the Mastery menu.
You can upgrade weapons to unlock their mastery slots. Once you unlock and obtain a weapon mastery slot, the effect is permanent even if you don't equip the weapon itself.
