What is Damage Cap in Granblue Fantasy Relink?

There is a damage cap for every single attack you and your team can perform. This includes primary attacks, secondary attacks, skills, Skybound Arts, and even Charge Bursts. Therefore, it's important to slowly and steadily raise your damage cap as you approach the endgame, as at that point you will have every stat maxed and will now have to increase your limits.

How to check if you're at Damage Cap

You can tell that you're at the damage cap if you see your damage numbers glowing with a golden yellow. You will have to eyeball it and figure it out based on the damage numbers you're outputting. Practising with Sir Harold on the Grandcypher can help figure out your damage numbers.

How to increase Damage Cap

There are various ways to increase your Damage Cap for various attacks and abilities. Here are some of the main ones you need to focus on. Note that multiple sources of Damage Cap increase are additive with one another.

Stack the Damage Cap skill

The Damage Cap skill is the most reliable and efficient method to increase the damage cap for your basic attacks, Skybound Arts, and Chain Bursts. The skill can be stacked through Sigils, Wrightstones, and Weapons. Sigils will be your most common source for the Damage Cap skill, and you can stack this skill up to level 65.

Improve Damage Cap masteries

Another easy way to access damage cap increase for specific skills and abilities is through the Mastery Tree. You can invest in Damage Cap nodes from the Master Tree, as they become a lot more common the deeper you go. Over Limit on the Masteries once you hit level 80 and above, also have a chance of giving you Damage Cap increasing masteries.

Glass Cannon Sigil

Other sources of Damage Cap increase include Sigils such as the Glass Cannon Sigil, which inflicts you with Dizzy every time you get hit but increases your Attack Power and Damage Cap.
