When travelling through the Underworld, you can expect more than a few restless souls who are itching for a fight. Make sure you’re prepared for your next trip with this Hades 2 Weapons guide that will help you get the best Nocturnal Arms.

While the first game had some iconic weapons for Zagreus to fight his way out of the realm of the dead, Hades 2 introduces a brand new set of arms for Melinoe. The chthonic nymph has had training that is more rooted in witchcraft and sorcery, and the weapons you unlock throughout the game definitely complement her fighting style.

After reading up on the weapons in Hades 2 and learning how to unlock them, you'll want to know the best Hades 2 Boons and best Hades 2 Keepsakes to pair with them.

Best Hades 2 Weapons Ranked

When it comes to the best weapons in Hades 2, the Sister Blades and the Witch’s Staff are the strongest choices. Here’s a closer look at how all the Nocturnal Arms stack up against each other in our Hades 2 weapon tier list:

S-tier

  • Sister Blades – a pair of weapons that Melinoe wields together for strikes that can hit fast and hard. Its fast-flowing attacks allow it to utilize offensive Boons quite well, resulting in a force that can cut through waves of enemies with ease.

A-tier

  • Witch’s Staff – despite being the game’s default weapon, it’s far from the weakest one. With solid attack power that can be dealt from a distance, the Witch’s Staff offers up a great balance between offence and defence. If you're a new player, I recommend you start with the Witch's Staff.
  • Argent Skull – this weapon stands out thanks to its versatility. Possessing incredible attack power, the only thing keeping it from being on par with the Sister Blades is the difficulty of obtaining it.

B-tier

  • Umbral Flames – the Umbral Flames have a high potential for amazing damage output, but it can feel clunky to use given how much you need to stay in motion in Hades 2. You may be able to pull off some amazing runs with this weapon if you have the time and patience to practice wielding it.
  • Moonstone Axe – yet another weapon that’s capable of doling out impactful damage, the Moonstone Axe’s power is dampened by its short range and incredibly slow attack speed. Much like the Umbral Flames, you’ll need to spend a lot of time with the Moonstone Axe to harness its true power. If you're a highly skilled player who has all the enemy attacks down, then you'll be able to take advantage of the Moonstone Axe's attack power much more easily.
