How to defeat Chargers in Helldivers 2
To begin with, you should not shoot at the armoured parts of the Chargers with small arms. Not only will it not harm them, but it can also injure you and your allies because the bullets can ricochet. With such weapons, you can damage them by shooting at the yellow part of their body, located between their back legs.
However, getting to the back may not be possible in every situation, and even shooting at a vulnerable spot will take a lot of time and ammo. Therefore, the best way to destroy Chargers from the back is with Flamethrower, especially since it received a decent buff recently.
In most cases, the best strategy against the Chargers is to shoot at their legs. Yes, they are armoured like the rest of the body, but they can be called a vulnerable spot because when you remove their armour, shooting at them will do much more damage than the Chargers' back, and thus you can kill them in just a few seconds.
First, you knock the armour off the Charger's leg with a heavy weapon and then finish it off with any small arms. At low levels, you can knock down the armour with Expendable Anti-Tank, and after level 20, you can use a Raigun.
For levels 10-20, you can use Expendable Anti-Tan, Recoilless Rifle, Autocannon Sentry, and Rocket Sentry, but they are not very versatile as they have high cooldowns and are pointless to use against weaker opponents. Instead, we recommend using Flamethrower because it has a lot of ammo and can be used not only against Chargers.
Now that you can easily kill Chargers, the only problem is the small bugs that distract you and prevent you from focusing on the more important enemy. The best solution here is the Rover Stratagem, a drone that quickly destroys small enemies with a laser while you kill the Chargers one by one.
