How to unlock flying in Hogwarts Legacy
In the main quest line for Hogwarts Legacy, you'll eventually unlock a mission called Flying Class.
This class will take you out to the Flying Class Lawn while you're shown the basics of flying. You'll go through a few different exercises to get you acclimated to the controls, and then Everett Clopton will take you around the castle airspace for a test drive.
Once you return back to the ground, you'll complete the class and unlock flying. But you won't be ready to fly like a bird then. You'll need your own broom.
How to get a broom in Hogwarts Legacy
Once you've unlocked flying, you'll be pretty low to the ground without a broom. You'll need to visit Albie Weekes at the Spintwitches Sporting Needs shop in Hogsmeade to get your own.
A broom costs 600 Galleon, so just busting open an eye chest and selling a bit of gear will be all you need to afford one. Equip it through the gear menu and then use press L1/LB + Circle/B to hop on. You can fly is most areas of the game, just not the castle or around Hogsmeade
