Character customization in Space Marine 2 is an exciting and interesting feature when playing in the Operations and Eternal War multiplayer modes. It lets you showcase your unique Space Marine with personalized armor, emblems, and colors on the battlefield.

Though character customization might seem daunting initially, especially since it isn't available in the campaign mode, it's pretty straightforward once you get the hang of it.

This guide will walk you through customizing your character to stand out on the battlefield.

In the multiplayer mode, you can customize your character in the Armouring Hall on the Battle Barge. Here, you can swap armor pieces, choose colors for your character, and even alter specific components of your Space Marine.

Customization is not available in the single-player campaign. To customize your armor, go to the multiplayer modes.

To begin customizing in Space Marine 2, select a multiplayer mode such as Operations or Eternal War. Once you are in the Battle Barge, go to the Armouring Hall and interact with the character Galeo, who allows you to modify the appearance of your Space Marine.

Select from the six classes and switch their armor using the "Edit Armour" option. Remember that armor customized in Operations mode is separate from Eternal War mode, so you need to adjust each mode individually. When customizing, you'll see two main options: Armor Sets and Astartes Chapters.

Armor Sets

Armor Sets define the appearance of your Space Marine’s armor and its design. Complete armor sets are available for purchase after finishing Operations or playing the Eternal War mode.

Additionally, you can select individual armor pieces, like the helmet, shoulders, chest piece, gloves, and legs, and assign them to four armor slots. This customization lets you personalize your look. However, just so you know, some skins, like the Champion skins, cannot be customized.

Astartes Chapters

In the Astartes Chapters tab, you can select the color of your Space Marine based on different chapters from the Warhammer 40k series. This includes familiar Chapters such as the Ultramarines and Dark Angels and less conventional ones such as the Minotaurs and Omega Marines.

If you wish to copy the appearance of a particular Chapter, you need to obtain unique emblems and color packs in the Heraldry section. You can get these by completing missions and earning Requisitions.
