The Prestige system in Black Ops 6 brings back the classic Call of Duty experience, much to the delight of long-time fans of the series. This system allows players to reset their progress in exchange for exclusive rewards and bragging rights.

This system is built for those who love to grind hard and put in the hours. This article will show you how to Prestige so you can push your skills to the limit while reaping the rewards.

What Is Prestige and How to Do It in Black Ops 6

When you hit Level 55 (the maximum Military level), you will unlock the option to enter Prestige Mode.

This resets your Player Level to 1, locks most of the items, and unlocks you've accumulated so far.

Even if starting over feels overwhelming, you’ll enjoy the perks of permanent rewards and access to higher tiers of content.

Once you Prestige, your Loadouts are reset, meaning all the custom weapon builds and perks you had will need to be unlocked again as you level up.

While Prestiging resets much of your progress, not everything is wiped out. Weapon Progression, Camos, Reticles, Store Items, and Battle Pass content will remain unlocked.

Every time you Prestige, you earn a Permanent Unlock Token. These tokens are incredibly valuable, permanently unlocking a weapon, perk, or other level-locked item.

This is especially advantageous if you’d like to skip some of the grind and quickly obtain important items, such as a top-tier weapon or utility.

This way, even though your level resets, you don’t have to go without your favorite gear for long.

Each Prestige level features cosmetic rewards, and here’s what you can expect:

  • Prestige 1:
    • Prestige Icon and “Nacht Raider” Operator Skin.
    • Permanent Unlock Token
    • At Level 10, you get the Der Riese Loading Screen.
    • At Level 20, the Perk-A-Cola GobbleGum Pack becomes available (for Zombies mode).
    • Further rewards at Levels 30, 40, and 50 include cosmetic items like the Zombie Breach Animated Emblem and Teddy is a Liar SMG Blueprint.

The rewards continue through the higher levels of Prestige:

  • Prestige 3 (Level 50): Unlock the "My Name is…" Payne Operator Skin.
  • Prestige 4 (Level 50): Earn the Atomic Commando XM4 Assault Rifle Blueprint.
  • Prestige 5 (Level 50): Gain the "Absolute Loss" Toro Operator Skin.
  • Prestige 6 (Level 50): Unlock the Robot Abomination SWAT 556 Marksman Rifle Blueprint.
  • Prestige 7 (Level 50): Get the Specialist Fan Maya Operator Skin

There are 10 Prestige levels to complete in Black Ops 6, and upon reaching Prestige 10, you unlock the Prestige Master tier.

This opens up an extra 1,000 levels to grind, and rewards keep rolling in for those who stick with it. As you climb these additional levels, you’ll unlock exclusive rewards such as Legacy Prestige Icons from past Call of Duty titles.

You unlock these Legacy Icons at specific milestones, such as Level 100 and every 100 levels after that.
