Spells make all the difference in Black Myth: Wukong, as they can enhance your character’s traits and grant them additional accessive powers. To use them continuously or at regular intervals, however, you must ensure you have a good supply of Mana (the blue-colored bar beneath your health display in the game.)
You cannot regenerate Mana naturally—you must rest or respawn. While these methods may get the job done in the (very) early stages of the game, you can’t survive once you successively progress. Here’s where you can use Skill Upgrades to make all the difference. Read on to learn more about what Skill Upgrades you need to make that happen.
How to Restore Mana in Black Myth: Wukong?
As mentioned earlier, you can only completely restore your character’s Mana by resting at a nearby Shrine or respawning after battle. That being said, there are Skill Upgrades you can use. The table below lists each:
Skill Upgrade | Purpose |
---|---|
Galeguard Greaves | A type of foot armor that’ll allow you to restore a portion of your Mana if you perform three perfect dodges in a short interval. |
Spirit Shards — Immobilize | Spirit Shards is a skill upgrade for the Immobilize Spell, enabling you to restore Mana after damaging an enemy with immobilization. However, this only works if you already have considerable mana in stock. |
Bold Venture — Rock Solid | Much like Spirit Shards, the Bold Venture is a skill upgrade for the Rock Solid Spell, enabling you to recover mana “upon a successful deflection." However, you must have Mana in stock to first cast this spell. |
Jade Essence | The Jade Essence is a drink for your Gourd. Taking a sip allows you to recover Mana. |
The Turtle Tear | The Turtle Tear performs the same function and process as the Jade Essence. However, unlike the Jade Essence, you must be fully healed to recover Mana with the Turtle Tear. |
How to Increase Mana in Black Myth: Wukong?
Restoring Mana regularly will help you with many fights, making it the main focus; however, it will serve the opposite purpose. Increasing your maximum mana pool is a great option to ensure that doesn't happen.
Considering the level you’re at, there are multiple ways to go about this:
- Mind Cores: For beginners (Chapter 2 and above), using the Mind Cores is an exceptional option. It proves beneficial in terms of Mana and works to improve other stats passively.
- Celestial Taiyl Pill: Another viable option. These pills, although minor, permanently increase your character’s maximum mana pool.
Spiritual Awakening: Once players reach level 30 in the game, they can use the Survival Tree to upgrade their Spiritual Awakening Skill, which performs a function similar to that of the Celestial Pills.
