September 13 - Learn whether you can share loot with friends in Diablo 4.

If you're just starting, you may want to know "Is loot shared in Diablo 4?". Diablo 4 is a game that essentially revolves around the cycle of defeating enemies and gathering better loot. Looting is one of the most important mechanics of Diablo 4, and it's important to understand how it works.

The two main aspects we'll cover are loot sharing between your characters and how loot sharing in Diablo 4 works when playing co-op with other people. So let's get into both of these mechanics.

Can you share loot between characters?

If you plan on playing multiple characters or managed to get a good drop for one class while playing another, we have some good news for you. Diablo 4 integrates the same loot share system as Diablo 3 and gives you the freedom to share items between multiple characters and classes. Got a great drop as a druid for a barbarian? Not an issue, just use the stash!

The Stash is a shared inventory storage space that you can access across various characters. Moreover, there will be a different stash for each game mode that you can access with characters playing that game mode. Once you reach the Fractured Peaks, Kyovashad the Stash will be unlocked permanently at every hub in the game. Furthermore, there will be a full system to upgrade the Stash storage space, so there's a lot of hoarding to look forward to!

Loot sharing in Diablo 4 co-op

Another aspect you might be confused about is the co-op loot-sharing mechanics of Diablo 4. Luckily, Blizzard has simplified this quite a lot to streamline the user experience.

Each individual gets their own sets of drops when playing co-op, so you don't have to worry about fighting over items with friends as everyone gets unique drops. Furthermore, the loot system is smart and is weighted in a way that it is much more likely to drop loot that is relevant to your class.

Furthermore, you can always trade or share items with your teammates, so you don't have to fear missing out, even if someone else gets a drop that's good for you, or vice versa.
