LEGO Fortnite - how to upgrade your village

To upgrade your village in LEGO Fortnite, you need to approach the Village Square. When you stand close enough, the Village Hub option will appear, which you can open to check out what village level you currently have, under the Upgrade Village tab.

The material cost to upgrade to the next level will be displayed as well. If you have the required amount of materials already, the Village Square will be glowing. Costs increase with each village level but so do the perks. You can unlock more items and invite more villagers who will complete tasks for you.

Another factor that's important when you're trying to level up your village is your village rating. You will need to increase this rating if you want to upgrade your village. To do so, make sure to recruit villagers regularly, and add all sorts of structures around your base such as storage, crops, and decorations.

Here is the list of the items that you need to upgrade your village to a specific level:

  • Level 1: None
  • Level 2: 15 Wood, 15 Granite
  • Level 3: 10 Planks, 20 Granite
  • Level 4: 10 Knotroot, 15 Planks, 25 Granite
  • Level 5: 15 Knotroot, 20 Planks, 15 Marble
  • Level 6: 20 Knotroot, 30 Granite Slabs
  • Level 7: 20 Knotroot Rods, 20 Marble Slabs
  • Level 8: 30 Marble Slabs, 10 Rough Amber
  • Level 9: 15 Flexwood, 15 Obsidian, 10 Cut Amber
  • Level 10: 15 Flexwood Rods, 30 Obsidian Slabs, 20 Cut Amber

As you upgrade your village, your villagers will gain newfound abilities, engaging in resource foraging and refining tasks, infusing interactivity into their roles. Soon, they'll be giving you occasional gifts, fostering camaraderie, while the space to take in new villagers grows.

From Level 4, villagers can cook, extract seeds, manage dirt plots, and produce different types of wood. A Level 5 Village attracts rarer explorers and reinforces villager defence and health.
