Lords of the Fallen will be dropping in October and many fans are asking about the game's capabilities in key areas such as multiplayer and cross-platform compatibility. Read on to find out if Lords of the Fallen has crossplay!

Lords of the Fallen will continue from the 2014 title of the same name and will heavily feature the original game's antagonist, Adyr. Once again, you will be tasked with hunting and ending the cruel reign of the demon god in an epic quest featuring gruelling combat, multiple character classes, and 30+ bosses to overcome across the realms of the living and the dead.

Does Lords of the Fallen have crossplay?

The answer to this question comes with good and bad news. As confirmed by HexWorks on the Lords of the Fallen official website, and supported by our own in-game experiences the game will have crossplay. Unfortunately, though, crossplay will come with some conditions.

For PC players, there won't be any restrictions holding you back from playing alongside PS5 and Xbox Series X|S players, however, the same cannot be said about the console version. While you will be able to connect with PC players from an Xbox or PS5, the ability to play co-op or PvP across the two console giants unfortunately won't be available.

The crossplay feature will enable players to cooperate in a host-and-ally relationship and travel between Axiom and Umbral together, meaning only the host will further their story progress. In order to do this, you'll need to set up a session password and invite them via a Vestige, which is where you can level up and heal your Crusader. While restricted in its accessibility, the co-op feature will certainly be of help to players, particularly those struggling in the absence of an option to change the game's difficulty.
