When it comes to Marvel Rivals, Adam Warlock stands out as one of the most well-rounded heroes in the game.

Healing is just one of his skills—he can also dish out damage and bring your team back in the nick of time.

This article will help you unlock Adam Warlock’s full potential with tips on how to play him effectively.

How To Play as Adam Warlock

Every team in Marvel Rivals could use a solid support player, and Adam Warlock does it effortlessly.

Adam’s got the best of both worlds—he can heal and deal damage, plus he has the unique ability to change the game with his resurrection and healing abilities.

His kit has a lot of potential, but to get the most out of it, you need to nail your positioning and timing and balance your attack and defense.

Here’s how to dominate with Adam Warlock in Marvel Rivals.

1. Stick To the Backline and Let Your Team Lead

Unlike some characters who thrive on the front lines, Adam Warlock excels when kept behind the main combatants.

Since he's not that quick on his feet, agile foes like Spider-Man or Black Panther can easily take him down.

The trick to surviving as a Warlock is positioning yourself with your team, preferably near Vanguards, who can have your back.

These durable characters will absorb much of the enemy’s attention, allowing Warlock to focus on healing and dealing damage.

It’s also best to position yourself in elevated spots or behind cover. This gives you a leg up for healing your team and taking shots at enemies.

Since several of Warlock’s healing abilities depend on line-of-sight, keeping a high vantage point allows you to assist your teammates without exposing yourself.

2. Heal Your Team but Throw in Some Damage Too

Adam Warlock is unique because he can heal and dish out significant damage.

However, players need to balance these two aspects properly to be effective.

Warlock’s Quantum Magic, his primary attack, deals solid damage, especially when you land headshots.

You can poke enemies from afar with this ability, a solid way to whittle enemy health before a fight breaks out.

On top of Quantum Magic, his Cosmic Cluster brings a charged burst that can catch enemies off guard.

It’s most useful in critical situations where you can line up your shot for maximum destruction.

However, excessive reliance on Cosmic Cluster can cause your ammo to run out quickly.

Instead, hold off using it for when enemies are clustered together or in predictable spots.

Although damage output is important, Adam Warlock is mainly a support hero, so healing should be your main focus.

The Avatar Life Stream is your primary source of healing, cycling through allies and healing them based on their proximity.

This ability can heal a few teammates simultaneously, making it a key asset in team fights.

Just make sure you don’t spam it, as timing its cooldown is crucial. If you use the ability recklessly, your team could end up exposed.

3. Save Karmic Revival for Clutch Moments

Warlock’s Soul Bond ability is one of the most powerful tools at his disposal.

When you link up with allies, you can share their damage, making sure no one character takes the brunt of it.

This is handy for tanky Vanguards or teammates who might get eliminated by high-damage enemies. However, you should be careful with Soul Bond.

While it helps keep allies alive, it can also backfire if you link to a low-health teammate who becomes a target for enemy Duelists.

Warlock’s Karmic Revival is hands down his biggest game-changer.

Use this move to revive fallen teammates and give them a short invincibility boost when they rejoin the fight.

Timing is everything here: you want to use this ability when your enemies are distracted or have already committed their resources.

If exposed, it’s better to wait until you can get behind the cover or use your Soul Bond to take some damage before using Karmic Revival.

When used right, this ability can change the game, especially in the later parts of the match.

4. Regenerative Cocoon Is Your Ticket Back in the Game

Adam Warlock can revive himself after dying thanks to the Regenerative Cocoon passive ability.

Warlock becomes a soul that can freely move around the map and choose a respawn location when triggered.

This ability becomes a game-changer when your team is wiped out, allowing you to re-enter the fight and revive your allies using Karmic Revival.

Don't rush to revive as soon as you use Regenerative Cocoon. Look around momentarily and head to a place where you won't be spotted.

You can take this time to move around and catch your breath before getting back with your team.

The ability has a 105-second cooldown, so timing when to use it is essential.

5. Team Up with the Right Heroes for a Solid Combo

Adam Warlock thrives in teams that help with his healing, allowing him to focus on dishing out damage.

He works well alongside high-damage heroes like Star-Lord and Mantis, who can use Warlock's healing and self-revival abilities.

Soul Perseverance is a Team-Up ability that enhances the regenerative power of these two heroes.

Thanks to Regenerative Cocoon, they can revive themselves and last longer in fights.

Warlock and Vanguards like Groot or Doctor Strange also make a solid combo.
