Feel like going on a Gamma-fueled rampage across the battlefield? With our Marvel Rivals Hulk guide, you can channel your pent-up anger to show the competition just how puny they are. So get ready to punch, throw, and most importantly, smash your enemies on the way to victory.

The Marvel Rivals characters roster has a diverse lineup of heroes and villains that range from ice-powered singer Luna Snow to everyone’s favourite snarky tech billionaire, Iron Man. Many more are sure to join the Marvel Rivals roster moving forward but the not-so-jolly green giant will be playable from the get-go.

Marvel Rivals Hulk Abilities

Hulk is unique in that he has three different forms, each one with a different set of skills and stats. Here’s what you can do as Bruce Banner, Hero Hulk, and Monster Hulk.

Bruce Banner

  • Gamma Ray Gun (Left Click) – fire a gamma-powered gun
  • Gamma Grenade (L SHIFT) – throw a gamma grenade that deals damage and knocks enemies into the air
  • Puny Banner (Q) – transform into Hero Hulk
  • Health - 200
  • Class - Vanguard (Tank)

Hero Hulk

  • Heavy Blow (Left Click) – swing your fists for some heavy-handed punches
  • Gamma Burst (Right Click) – let out a clap that results in a gamma-ray burst that deals damage
  • Hulk Smash! (Q) – release stored gamma energy to transform into Monster Hulk for a limited time period
  • Indestructible Guard (L SHIFT) – create shields for Hulk and nearby allies that absorb damage and convert it into gamma energy for Hulk Smash!
  • Radioactive Lockdown (E) – unleash gamma energy to immobilize enemies and make them immune to other ability effects
  • Incredible Leap (Space) – hold down the space bar to charge a leap that can knock flying enemies to the ground
  • Gamma Boost (Passive) – enhances the abilities of Dr. Strange and Iron Man when nearby
  • Health - 900
  • Class - Vanguard (Tank)

Monster Hulk

  • Heavy Blow (Left Click) – throw punches that can launch enemies in the air
  • Gamma Burst (Right Click) – fire off a larger gamma-ray burst for damage
  • World Breaker (Q) – grab an enemy in front of you and repeatedly smash them into the ground
  • Radioactive Lockdown (E) - unleash gamma energy to immobilize enemies and make them immune to other ability effects while dealing damage
  • Incredible Leap (Space) – hold down the space bar to charge a leap forward that can knock flying enemies to the ground
  • Health - 900
  • Class - Vanguard (Tank)

As you may have guessed, puny Banner can’t do much with his little peashooter so you’re going to want to Hulk out as soon as possible. Gather enough gamma energy as Hero Hulk and you can unleash Monster Hulk for even more devastating abilities.

The good news is that you can immediately turn into the Hulk from spawn, so you don't have to start the first fight without your amped-up form. Generating gamma comes into play if you are 'killed' as Hulk, downsizing you back into Bruce.

Much of Hulk's tanking capabilities come from his ability to make space for your team and force enemies out of position, so you're going to want to stay as Hulk for as long as you can.

How to Play Hulk in Marvel Rivals

While running around the arena as Dr Banner, you’re going to want to play it safe by keeping your distance and taking lots of cover as you've only got a measly 200 - less than some damage dealers. Don’t expect to do too much damage as Bruce Banner, but you can cause a bit of disruption with his Gamma Grenade.

Once you get into Hero Hulk form, you can jump right into the front lines as a bruiser thanks to your newly-increased 900 health. Hulk’s ability to close gaps, generate shields, provide crowd-control effects, and deal damage up close makes him an extremely effective brawler and tank.

Transforming into Monster Hulk will enhance some of the hero’s abilities, but not so much that you’ll have to change your playstyle. You’re still going to want to be right in the middle of a fight, smashing enemies before they get some distance on you, you'll just deal much more damage while you're at it.

Marvel Rivals Hulk Costumes and Skins

Hulk currently only has two costumes in the game but we can expect more when Marvel Rivals is officially released. These costumes are applied to both forms of the Hulk and Bruce Banner. Here are the different costumes for the gamma-infused giant:

  • Classic Hulk
  • Green Scar

The classic Hulk costume is his default look in Marvel Rivals. Though he does don black pants, the remains of Banner’s tattered purple shirt can be seen hanging around Hulk’s waistband, paying homage to his iconic appearance.

Meanwhile, the Green Scar costume is a callback to the Hulk’s appearance during his time as a gladiator on Sakaar. Here, Hulk wears protective headgear and armor on his left arm that is covered in spikes. It is this incarnation of the Hulk that eventually leads to World Breaker Hulk.

And that’s everything you need to know about Marvel Rivals' Hulk. With newfound knowledge of his abilities and how best to use them, you're ready to Hulk out.
