The power of chaos magic right at your fingertips. This is what you can expect from Marvel Rivals Scarlet Witch. With all the action that takes place in the team-based shooter, this reality-warping mutant is a welcome sight for any group looking for a win.
A powerhouse in the comics, Scarlet Witch has no problem keeping up with the heavy hitters of the Marvel Rivals characters roster. In this guide, we'll be taking a look at how her abilities translate into the competitive hero shooter, as well as some tips and tricks to play her well. If you’re looking to test her skills yourself, we can help you sign up for the Marvel Rivals Alpha to play an early build of the game.
Marvel Rivals Scarlet Witch Abilities
Scarlet Witch's abilities in Marvel Rivals are:
- Chaos Control (Left Click) – Wanda fires a beam that deals damage while restoring Chaos Energy.
- Chthonian Burst (Right Click) – Consume Chaos Energy to launch explosive magic missiles.
- Reality Erasure (Q) – Scarlet Witch takes flight while charging energy which is then unleashed for devastating damage.
- Dark Seal (E) – Place a seal on target opponent or location. Enemies caught within the seal are periodically stunned.
- Mystic Projection (L SHIFT) – Scarlet Witch enters the Projection state for free-flight.
- Telekinesis (Space) – Hold down the space bar in the air to drop down slowly.
- Health – 250
- Class – Duelist (DPS)
With Scarlet Witch’s kit, you’ll have a variety of ways to deal damage to the opposing team. Add a bit of crowd control and mobility options and you’ve got a DPS fit to wield power called Chaos Magic. In fact, Wanda is undeniably one of the best characters in the entire game right now - some would even argue overpowered, though they'd not dare say that to her face.
How to Play Scarlet Witch in Marvel Rivals
Scarlet Witch has a pretty straightforward set of abilities in Marvel Rivals (she is only rated one-star difficulty, after all), but that doesn’t make her any less viable compared to other characters in the game. In fact, the simplicity of her skills makes her even more of a threat out on the battlefield.
When playing as Scarlet Witch, you’re going to want to keep your distance while slinging spells. Chaos Control doesn’t require precise aim so be sure to use it often to store Chaos Energy. You can then use that Chaos Energy to launch a volley of magical projectiles with Chthonian Burst.
However, the most powerful move in Scarlet Witch’s arsenal is Reality Erasure. When timed right, it can easily wipe out the enemy team. Activate the ability and fly right into a group of enemies before promptly unleashing all your dark energy into a deadly blast. It will take some practice, but it'll certainly get enemies running if they're not already dead.
It’s easy to get carried away with Scarlet Witch’s offence, but don’t forget that she has other abilities that can get her out of sticky situations. If you find yourself in unfavourable scenarios, you can utilize Dark Seal and Mystic Projection to make a getaway.
Marvel Rivals Scarlet Witch Costumes and Skins
Wanda currently only has two sets of threads in Marvel Rivals, but that’s expected to change after the game is fully released. Here are the costumes and skins for Scarlet Witch:
- Scarlet Witch
- Moonlit Witch
Unfortunately, Scarlet Witch seems to have gotten the short end of the stick when it comes to alternate costumes in Marvel Rivals. While other characters get outfits pulled from comics or cartoons, the Moonlit Witch costume still looks cool but it's basically just a recolored version of the default Scarlet Witch appearance.
In her default costume, Scarlet Witch dons a modernized version of her classic red outfit complete with the trademark headpiece. Meanwhile, the Moonlit Witch costume swaps out most of the red for white, including Wanda’s hair.
That sums up everything you need to know about Marvel Rivals' Scarlet Witch. For more on the competitive shooter’s cast, you can check out some of our other guides for characters like Hulk and Storm.
