Marvel Rivals Star Lord Abilities
Star Lord's abilities in Marvel Rivals are:
- Element Guns (Left Click) - Star Lords shoots at enemies with his dual pistols. The further the distance, the lesser the damage.
- Stellar Shift (Right Click) - Star Lord dodges in the direction of movement and quickly reloads.
- Galactic Legend (Q) - Star Lord shoots up in free flight and locks onto enemies in sight. All shots automatically hit.
- Rocket Propulsion (L SHIFT) - Star Lord soars forward into the air.
- Blaster Barrage (E) - Star Lord fires a frenzy of shots, attacking multiple enemies at once.
- Health - 250
- Class - Duelist (DPS)
Because Star Lord is a Duelist, aka your DPS, his kit is practical to whittle down most enemies across multiple classes like Vanguard and Support. That said, distance is key for Star Lord and any enemies who are able to get close threaten to bring the pain.
How to Play Star Lord in Marvel Rivals
With a two-star difficulty rating, Star Lord is a hero that's easy to pick up even for beginners but truly excels when in the hands of someone who has more experience. That said, there are complexities to his skill set, particularly as, in spite of his stacked abilities, he can still be taken out quite easily in a one-vs-one battle due to his low health.
The best thing about Star Lord is his capability to manoeuvre around the battlefield, all while laying down the damage that will have the enemy second-guessing their own positioning. For example, Star Lord's rocket propulsion allows him to move and position behind the enemy to take them out with relative ease.
What's even better is that Star Lord's Element Guns have great range, though there is damage drop-off. Regardless, this range allows Star Lord to pick off flying foes too, such as Storm. And, you can use your handy rockets, as well as his Q ability, Galactic Legend, to get in close for maximum damage or evade.
Ultimately, Star Lord is a fantastic choice if you want to do some damage and have a level of movement that'd make even Spider-Man jealous. Just be careful when enemies get too close, as his health doesn't allow him able to withstand tougher, hard-hitting attacks from tankier enemies.
Your best bet is to stay in mid-range, unleash a barrage from his Elemental Guns, use Stellar Shift for a speedy reload, and do it all over again, using elevation to your advantage.
Marvel Rivals Star Lord Costumes and Skins
Star Lord currently has two costumes available in Marvel Rivals. More are likely to be released after the game’s official launch, but here’s what the leader of the Guardians of the Galaxy has so far:
- Classic Star Lord
- Master of the Sun
Star Lord's Master of the Sun skin is inspired by his fit in Guardians of the Galaxy Vol 6 (2020). Its combination of yellow, red, and orange prismatic diamonds in its design is both eye-catching and beautifully detailed, making it one of the most stand-out skins out of the whole roster.
This is what you can expect from Star Lord, from his abilities and how to play him, to all the costumes and skins you can get for him. For more Marvel Rivals guide, you can check our how-to's for fellow Guardians like Rocket Raccoon and even the Omega-level mutant, Storm.
