Struggling to figure out how to fix the Minecraft Legends infinite loading screen? It's one of a few problems and bugs in the game at launch, and one that won't even let you get beyond the main menu. Here's a list of reasons why it could be happening to your game, and what you can do to fix it.
Since the game is fresh, you are likely to face this problem. But there's a good chance it'll be patched out with other bug fixes over time. In case that hasn't happened by the time to decide to play, here are some solutions you can follow to achieve the desired result.
Minecraft Legends infinite loading screen fixes
If you've already tried the most obvious steps like restarting the game and your device, there are a few more complex options to try to solve the issue.
Change the graphics settings
A trivial but effective solution to the problem in some cases is to simply reduce the graphic to a minimum. To do this, you need to go to Minecraft Legends, open the settings, and reduce all graphics settings to the lowest level before you try to load into the gameplay. Restart the game and see if it worked.
Check DirectX
One of the difficulties may be the lack of DirectX update, or some other issue related to it. To find out, follow these steps:
- Press Win+R.
- In the window that appears, type dxdiag and press Enter. You will be taken to the Direct X settings, where you can analyze the system to see if there are any problems with the program.
- If you find some kind of malfunction or you don't have DirectX at all, then head to their official website and download the latest version of the program.
Restart your device and try logging into Minecraft Legends.
Game files verification
If you play through Steam, then you have the option to check if the game files are corrupted. Here's how to do it:
- Open Steam and go to your game library.
- Find Minecraft Legends in the list and right-click on it.
- Among the functions offered, find Properties and open it.
- In the window that appears, find the "Check the integrity of game files" item and click on it.
After that, the system will analyze the files for damage, and if it finds an error, it will show it to you and offer to fix the damaged files.
Update your drivers
It's possible that the problem with the Minecraft Legends infinite loading is being caused by outdated drivers, which you'll need to update. If you are using Nvidia or AMD GPUs, you can use the following programs to automatically update your drivers:
- Nvidia - Nvidia Experience
- AMD - Adrenaline software
If this method doesn’t suit you, there is an alternative:
- Press Win+X.
- In the list that appears, find the Device Manager and open it.
- In the Device Manager, update the drivers (those that should be updated will be marked with a yellow triangle). Pay special attention to video card drivers, as updating them usually helps to solve games-related errors.
- Restart your device and try to log in to the game.
Make Minecraft Legends a trusted program
- Press the key combination "Win+I" to open the system settings.
- Find Update & Security there and go further.
- Now go to the Windows Security section, where you will find the item "Protection against viruses and threats."
- Click Manage settings, and then scroll down to Exclusions. There you should add Minecraft Legends.
- Restart your device and try logging into Minecraft Legends.
