Formerly known as the HK21, LMGs are a fan favourite in many Call of Duty games. The RAPP H is primed to be one of the better bullet sprayers in the upcoming Modern Warfare 3, and we've put together a guide to the best Modern Warfare 3 RAPP H loadout.
Recoil is usually the trade-off for LMG's high damage and rate of fire, but players who aren't super accurate can enjoy a huge magazine size to compensate.
If you're always eager to discover the best loadouts, use our guides to discover the best Lockwood MK2 and Riveter loadouts. If you're not a fan of those guns, plenty more await you in our Modern Warfare 3 walkthrough hub.
What is the best Modern Warfare 3 RAPP H loadout?
- Perks: Gunner / Marksman / Lightweight / Mag Holster
- Grenades: Molotov / Scatter Mine
Best Modern Warfare 3 RAPP H attachments
Thanks to the gunsmith, there are several ways to prepare the RAPP H for battle but after some extensive testing in the gunsmith, we've found a set of five guaranteed to make an impact:
- Barrel: Romeo FT 16" Barrel
- Optic: Cronen Mini Red Dot
- Stock: Meer Recoil-56 Factory Stock
- Underbarrel: XTEN Nexus Grip
- Rear Grip: Lachmann TCG-10
LMGs excel in mid-range and long-distance and to minimise any damage drop-off, the Romeo FT 16" Barrel extends bullet velocity and damage range enough so the RAPP H can make an impact in most scenarios.
The recoil of the RAPP H is hugely problematic which is why the trio of Meer Recoil-56 Factory Stock, XTEN Nexus Grip, and Lachmann TCG-10 come into play. These three manage to bring recoil to more controllable levels.
Best Modern Warfare 3 RAPP H perks and equipment
LMGs are a lot of fun, and the good times can keep coming with a great set of perks and equipment. Our guides have provided plenty of information that we've used to put together expert opinions below.
Perks
- Vest: Gunner
- Gloves: Marksman
- Boots: Lightweight
- Gear: Mag holster
Your vest slot is best filled by the gunner perk. The faster reload speeds it gives are essential for LMGs, and spawning with maximum ammo means you won't be running out anytime soon.
The gloves slot should use the marksman perk. It reduces your sway and flinch while aiming down sights, and you'll need to aim carefully if you actually want to hit your target with the RAPP H.
On your boots, the lightweight perk shines. It boosts your movement speed, and the only thing scarier than an LMG user is a fast LMG user.
In the gear slot, you'll want the mag holster. It improves your reload speed even further, and when combined with the gunner perk, provides the benefits of the mission control commlink perk. This reduces killstreak costs by one kill, and score streak costs by 125 for win-wins all around.
Equipment
- Lethal: Molotov cocktail
- Tactical: Scatter mine
You'll need to stay mobile when using an LMG, but keeping enemies away from your flanks is important. This is where the Molotov cocktail comes in handy. Throw it into a room or tight spot to keep enemies away from that area and set up some flanking of your own.
The scatter mine fills the tactical slot and should be used whenever the Molotov is on cooldown. It's a bit more effective at getting kills on unsuspecting enemies, so be sure to leave it in a new place every time it's ready for maximum effect.
Is the Modern Warfare 3 RAPP H meta?
The belt-fed RAPP H is a reliable LMG that will be many players' introduction to the weapon class. We can't predict the meta in a game that isn't out yet, but suspect it will be a large part of many LMG users' arsenals in the days and weeks after release.
Good luck out there - that loadout should prove useful. Before you go, prepare your loadouts with our guides to the Haymaker, Renetti, and Dual Kamas.
