The Modern Warfare 3 beta will act as the first opportunity for fans to get their hands on 2023's Call of Duty release. Although there's very little information surrounding Modern Warfare 3, various leaks and rumours are pointing towards a sequel to 2022's Modern Warfare 2.
Despite the lack of information, intel on when the beta weekends take place has already emerged, much to the excitement of fans wondering what's in store for the Call of Duty franchise in 2023.

When is the Modern Warfare 3 beta?
After weeks of leaks and rumours, Sledgehammer Games has confirmed the Modern Warfare 3 beta will begin on October 6, 2023.
Here are all the important dates you need to know:
- Weekend 1 (PlayStation exclusive): October 6-7 for early access / October 8-10 open beta
- Weekend 2 (All platforms): October 12-13 for early access (open for PlayStation) / October 14-16
Modern Warfare 3 beta maps
Thanks to a PlayStation trailer, the five multiplayer maps that will appear during the Modern Warfare 3 beta have appeared. Here's the full list:
- Rust
- Estate
- Skidrow
- Favela
- Popov Power Plant (Ground War)
- Highrise (Available during weekend two)
Modern Warfare 3 beta preload
Like most Call of Duty titles and updates, there's a high chance of players having the ability to pre-load the update ahead of time. With several months until the beta is expected to go live, we're unable to share more about when the window opens.
