What is Modern Warfare 3 Gunfight?
If you didn’t pick up previous Call of Duty titles, or simply don’t know what Gunfight is, you could be in for a serious treat. That’s because it is a much simpler, but tactical mode which is perfect for those who like to be put under pressure.
It is only 2v2 with loadouts that change every two rounds, keeping things fresh and interesting instead of coming across the meta guns and attachments time and time again.
The maps are particularly important and really player-friendly since they are on a much smaller scale. Moreover, they are usually symmetrical in nature, allowing you to learn the peak spots quickly.
Modern Warfare 3 Gunfight rules
As for the Modern Warfare 3 Gunfight rules, these are the same as they always have been.
You’ll have 40 seconds to win rounds, with the winning team being the one that secures six of them. Naturally, the objective here is to eliminate the 2 opponents in front of you but if you don't manage this, the timer will stop, entering overtime.
In overtime, it changes from simply kill to win to introducing a flag to capture. If one team does this, great, the round is over, but if not, the team that has the most health at the end of it all wins the round.
These rules can make for some seriously intense exchanges and something that certainly gets the blood pumping, especially if a round reaches overtime.
Modern Warfare 3 Gunfight maps
Now we’re on to the most important part of tactical warfare - the Modern Warfare 3 Gunfight maps. There will be a total of five maps when the mode launches, each with a different layout and fiction.
You’ll be able to enjoy both new and returning maps from prior Call of Duty titles, hopefully mixing things up a bit for players. The full list of maps is Training Facility, Alley, Blacksite, Exhibit, and Shipment.
Overall, Modern Warfare 3 Gunfight is back and just as good as ever. Jump into this mode for a little warm up, or play it to your heart’s content, and be on the road to becoming the best 2v2 player of all time!
