January 3, 2024: Season 1 is well underway and we've updated the best RAM-7 loadout and the best attachments to use in multiplayer,

Season 1 brought a ton of new content to Modern Warfare 3. It applies to maps, operators, and of course weapons. However, not all guns are new to the series. For example, one of the most recent additions is RAM-7 which players know from 2019's Modern Warfare. But for this rifle to shine, you must use the best Modern Warfare 3 RAM-7 loadout.

The RAM-7 is an exceptionally compact assault rifle with a versatile 5.56 ammo capacity, according to the in-game description. But despite decent damage, it has problems with recoil and range which are hugely important in Warzone.

But before we reveal the best Modern Warfare 3 RAM-7 loadout, you can also take a look at our articles showcasing the best Bruen MK9 loadout and DG-58 LSW loadout.

The RAM-7 is quite a versatile rifle in Modern Warfare 3. It has mostly stayed the same since Modern Warfare 2019, except for increased damage. Also, without attachments, it has strong recoil and is not very effective at medium range. Therefore, our best Modern Warfare 3 RAM-7 loadout focuses on correcting these weaknesses of the rifle:

  • Barrel: Cronen Headwind Long Barrel
  • Rear Grip: Retort 90 Grip Tape
  • Underbarrel: Kimura RYN-03 Vertical Grip
  • Magazine: 40 Round Mag
  • Ammunition: 5.56 NATO High Grain Rounds
  • Perks: Battle Hardened, EOD, Stalker, Ghost
  • Grenades: Semtex, Stan Grenade

Best Modern Warfare 3 RAM-7 attachments

As we said, the RAM-7 does not perform very well in combat without attachments. Therefore, go to Gunsmith as soon as possible and create a decent rifle. For the best Modern Warfare 3 RAM-7 loadout, you need to increase the range and improve the aiming:

  • Barrel: Cronen Headwind Long Barrel
  • Rear Grip: Retort 90 Grip Tape
  • Underbarrel: Kimura RYN-03 Vertical Grip
  • Magazine: 40 Round Mag
  • Ammunition: 5.56 NATO High Grain Rounds

The Kimura RYN-03 Vertical Grip and Retort 90 Grip Tape improves recoil control and gun kick control. The Cronen Headwind Long Barrel in combination with 5.56 NATO High Grain Rounds will increase firing range and bullet velocity. Finally, the 40 Round Mag will allow you to kill a few extra enemies.

Best Modern Warfare 3 RAM-7 perks and equipment

Once you've made your RAM-7 more stable and effective for close to mid-range, it's time to choose the right gear. Of course, you can choose what you usually use for assault rifles. But we would recommend that you focus on speed and stealth, especially since Modern Warfare 3 Season 1 introduced the new Vest.

Perks

  • Perk 1: Battle Hardened
  • Perk 2: EOD
  • Perk 3: Stalker
  • Perk 4: Ghost

The pairing of Battle Hardened and EOD provides resistance to most lethal and tactical equipment that will head your way during a Warzone match. Up next is Stalker which enhances strafing speeds even further which is hugely beneficial when using the already mobile RAM-7.

Equipment

  • Lethal: Semtex
  • Tactical: Stan Grenade

The combination of Semtex and Stan grenades is quite variable and can be effective in different combat scenarios. And even though Semtex has a smaller blast radius than Frag Grenade, it can stick to surfaces, and enemies cannot throw it back. When used correctly, these Grenades will help you hold your position and keep enemies away.

Is the Modern Warfare 3 RAM-7 meta?

The RAM-7 is a good assault rifle in Modern Warfare 3. However, without the right attachments, it is quite weak, especially compared to the rifles sitting at the top of the meta. For now, it won't be among the best guns and weapons but a dose of balancing could easily go in its favour as the cycle progresses.

That's it. But before you go, check out our guide on how to unlock Akimbo in Modern Warfare 3.
