How to preload Mortal Kombat 1
The supercalifragilisticexpialidocious news is that, yes, in fact, you can preload Mortal Kombat 1. Thank goodness, no 20+ hour wait for those of us who would rather spend their funds on new games than upgrading their internet speeds.
For PS5 users, you will be able to note when your preload will begin once you purchase the game on the PlayStation Store. For those who have the Premium Edition with early access, you'll be able to preload the game now in preparation for the September 16 kick-off.
Xbox Series X|S users seem to be able to enjoy the same privileges. While we don't have access to the Xbox version at the time of writing this, Mortal Kombat's official Reddit has users advising that they are able to preload the game right now, so they can get straight into prime ass-kicking form when the game comes out.
The one platform that isn't entirely clear is Steam, however we anticipate that they will likely follow suit to their console rivals. At present, Steam only notes that the game is set to be released on September 19 with no mention of pre-loading times. If this changes, we'll let you know by updating this article, so keep your eyes peeled!
That's all we know so far about pre-loading Mortal Kombat 1, so get to it! If you're looking for some more info, find out if you can play crossplay with fighters on other platforms in Mortal Kombat 1.
